Boundary scan I/O modules enhance test coverage
GOEPEL electronics has launched the CION-LX Module/FXT96, a new Boundary Scan module with high functionality and dynamics for test of analogue, digital and mixed signals at the ITC International Test Conference 2014 in Seattle. The module allows the extension of Boundary Scan test to non scannable circuit components such as connectors, clusters or analogue interfaces.
Miniature sensor copes with matt black
The new SICK W2S family delivers powerful sub-miniature photoelectric positioning sensing for today’s most difficult packaging materials – even matt black. The slim housing allows convenient mounting within tight spaces demanded by compact machinery. The sensor’s cutting-edge photoelectric sensing promises production efficiency and reliability even with challenging objects to detect in electronics and solar panel assembly applic...
PRU software support makes for easy real-time programming
The Programmable Real-time Unit (PRU) on Texas Instruments' Sitara processors enables customers to differentiate their products by offloading real-time processing from the ARM core. A 200MHz low-latency multicore co-processor, the PRU is optimised for deterministic, real-time processing, with local peripherals and memory which allows customers to save time and money by removing costly FPGAs or ASICs from system designs.
Software enhances oscilloscopes vertical resolution
The high definition (HD) mode software increases the vertical resolution of the R&S RTO and R&S RTE oscilloscopes to up to 16 bits, a 256-fold improvement over 8-bit resolution. To achieve this higher resolution, the signal is low-pass filtered directly after the A/D converter. The filter reduces the noise, thereby increasing the signal-to-noise ratio.
Transceiver meets industrial wireless connectivity demand
Designed to be integrated into industrial equipment, the Circuit Design STD-503 wireless transceiver has been released by LPRS.Operating in the 2.4GHz band, the transceiver meets the growing demand for industrial wireless connectivity. The device, which has been developed for industrial applications that require stable and reliable operation, is designed to be embedded into OEM equipment.
Processor core eases integration of IoT devices
Designed forlow-power, connected intelligent devices, theAPS23 processor core has been introduced by Cortus. Based on the company'sv2 instruction set, the core improves efficiency, eases integration and lowers the total cost of ownership. The v2 instruction set reduces the size of the system's instruction memory, allowing the processor core to reduce embedded system power.
Commutation encoder reduces assembly time on BLDC Motors
A next-generation modular encoder series is now available from CUI Devices. The AMT31 series, using a capacitive code generation system coupled with a proprietary ASIC, generates standard U/V/W commutation signals for vectoring current to brushless motors. The technology employed allows the device to be particularly well suited to brushless dc motor applications subject to vibration and contaminants.
Switching regulator integrates LDOs for accurate tracking
A 400mA, 40V step-down switching regulator with dual tracking LDO outputs has been released by Linear Technology. Operating from a VIN range of 4.3-40V with transient protection to 60V, the LT3668is particularly suitable for automotive and industrial applications. Up to 400mA can be delivered by the internal 600mA switch and distributed to the combined loads of the primary output and both of the tracking LDOs.
ASIC tech on show at hall A4, booth #118 at electronica
Visitors to hall A4, booth #122 at electronica 2014 will be able to see CREATIVE CHIP'S latest ASIC technologies and enhanced application-specific standard products. The company plan to demonstrate the enhanced IO-Link family, of which the IO-Link master IC CCE4510 is now qualified.
