15V, 4MHz, Synchronous Dual 3A Step-Down Regulator
The LTC3633 is a high efficiency, 4MHz synchronous dual output buck regulator that incorporates a unique constant frequency/controlled on-time, current mode architecture. It can deliver up to 3A of continuous output current from each channel at output voltages as low as 0.6V from a 4mm x 5mm QFN package. The LTC3633 operates from an input voltage of 3.6V to 15V, making it ideal for dual-cell Li-Ion applications as well as 5V and 12V intermediate ...
4A 1-Cell Li-Ion SMBus Battery Charger Needs No Microcontroller
Linear Technology has introduced the LTC4101, a fast, precision smart battery charger controller that operates with or without a host microcontroller. The IC is 100% compliant with Rev. 1.1 SMBus specifications and meets the requirements of Smart Battery System (SBS) Level 2 charging functions. It is optimized for 3V to 5.5V charging voltages, suitable for 1-cell Li-Ion and 3- to 4-cell nickel-chemistry batteries.
Vishay Siliconix Low-Voltage Analog Switches Feature Low On-Resistance Down to 0.6 Ω Maximum at 2.7 V in Space-Saving miniQFN Packages
Vishay released three new dual single pole double throw (SPDT) and dual double pole double throw (DPDT) CMOS low-voltage analog switches. The devices combine low-voltage operation and low on-resistance in small miniQFN packages for audio, SIM card, and multi-purpose signal switching in space-constrained portable end products.
Step-Down DC-DC Converter for Portable Applications from National Semiconductor
National Semiconductor has introduced what it says is the industry’s smallest 4 MHz synchronous step-down DC-DC converter that provides up to a 1A output current over an input voltage range of 2.3V to 5.5V. The LM3691 DC-DC converter is optimized for powering high-performance processors from a single Li-Ion cell battery in mobile phones, personal media players and other mobile devices. A member of National’s PowerWise® energy-efficient produ...
