Tekdata and SEA Succeed In Subsea Wiring Project
Tekdata Interconnections has successfully completed custom wiring for an underwater analysis pod designed to operate up to 100 metres depth, enabling its customer, defence contractor Systems Engineering and Assessment Ltd (SEA), to deliver the completed pod within tight constraints on time and cost.
Position Sensor for SIL2 Applications
Temposonics absolute, non-contact M-Series position sensors are now approved for operation in safety-related applications. The sensors meet the requirements of Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2) to EN 61508 and therewith also the requirements of Performance Level d to EN 13849-1. This means the MTS position measurement systems are approved for safety functions on mobile and stationary machines. Measuring lengths from 50 mm to 2,500 mm are available.
MTS cooperates with Cylinder Manufacturers
MTS Sensor Technologie, specialist in magnetostrictive transducers, announces a new partnership program with leading manufacturers of hydraulic cylinders. The “MTS Integration Partner Program” combines position sensing technology and expertise with best-in-class hydraulic cylinder knowledge, enabling cost and performance optimized “smart cylinder” designs.
Sub-Miniature, High Performance “In-Cell” Amplifier from LCM Systems
By incorporating the second generation “in-cell” amplifier (ICA) from LCM Systems, engineers can convert a strain gauge input to a voltage or a current output. This high performance, sub-miniature amplifier can be used for internal amplification of strain gauge based load cells, pressure transducers or torque transducers.
LCM Systems Expands Premises to Offer Ex-Stock Load Cells
Thanks to ever-increasing sales and the desire to keep a larger stock of popular standard products, so improving delivery times for customers, specialist load cell technology company, LCM Systems, is expanding its current production facilities on the Isle of Wight, UK.
