Ethernet switch offers POE+ in 3UCompactPCI format
Men Mikro’s unmanaged Ethernet switch G304 uses Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) and a direct Ethernet to CPU connection via the P1 connector for reliable communications in several harsh and mobile applications. Based on the CompactPCI Serial standard in 3U, the robust switch also conforms to the railway standard EN 50155.
Hand-held meter measures water content in oils
The new hand-held meter OILPORT 30 from E+E Elektronik accurately measures the water activity (aw) and temperature (T), and calculates the absolute water content x (ppm) of industrial oils. The user can store up to ten sets of oil specific parameters in the hand-held to be used for correct calculations of the water content in various oils.
Two-part power elements are discounted in online shop
The PowerTwo Power Elements, designed forscrew-type technologies on circuit boards, are now available inWürth Elektronik'sOriginal Power Elements Online Shop. Thetwo-part power elements are press-fitted rather than soldered and can, therefore, be used at high temperatures. With the elements, stableconnection and mounting on the circuit board is enabled withoutany additional stress.
Collaboration addresses future automotive challenges
RESCAR 2.0 (Robuster Entwurf von neuen Elektronikkomponenten für Anwendungen im Bereich Elektromobilität - Robust design of new electronic components for applications in electromobility), a collaborative research project which includes Audi, Bosch, Elmos Semiconductor, FZI and Infineon, has improved the reliability and robustness of electronic systems for EVs, and made ECUs of the future four times more durable.
Qi compliant wireless coils deliver high Q factor & low RDC
Responding to the growing demand for Qi standard devices, Würth Elektronik has introduced two wireless power transmitter coils in the 12V voltage range. Complying with the Qi standard of the WPC, the 760308104113 (A13) single coil and 760308104119 (A19) two coil array offer high quality with litz wire and premium ferrite to get a high Q factor and a low RDC.
Common mode choke reduces noise in high frequency ranges
To reducecommon mode noise in the high frequency range ondata and signal lines, Wurth Electronics has introduced a common mode choke with a wideattenuation bandwidth. The currentcompensated choke combines with aNiZn core, enabling abroadband attenuation response that operates into the GHz frequencyrange.
Wireless access point tracks railway applications
The EN 50155-compliant NM50 wireless access point meets all the requirements of modern railway applications. In addition to its robust design, the new unit comes with a wide range power supply for voltages between 14.4 and 154 VDC. Developed by Men Mikro Elektronik, the new wireless access point is especially designed for demanding rail and automotive applications, and operates over an extended operating temperature range from -40 to +85°C.
Power elements allow double-sided assembly
Power elements, featuring a compact design, have been released byWürth Elektronik ICS. ThePowerPlus elements, which consist ofa punched brass base body and a stainless steel screw, allow double-sided assembly of power supply elements in the same position. Achieving torquesof 1.8Nmwith the M4 thread and up to 42Nm with the M12, the screw is claimed to enablea higher torque than other high-current contacts.
Nanocrystalline cores deliver 20x more permeability
Designed to reduce broadband mains-borne radio interference, chokes with nanocrystalline cores have been introduced by Würth Elektronik. The WE-CMBNC family of current-compensated, common-mode chokes have been made with nanocrystalline cores and feature broadband attenuation.
Calculation facility features a WEdirekt PCB configurator
An online price calculation facility for mounted assemblies, which is integrated with aPCB configurator from WEdirekt, has been introduced byM. Richter. This has been introduced to meet the customer requirement for immediate access to key product information such as price, quantity and delivery times.
