Hamamatsu Photonics High-Speed CMOS Linear Image Sensor
Since 1993 Hamamatsu Photonics have offered a wide range of CMOS linear image sensors for use in analytical instruments such as spectrophotometers and industrial process monitoring equipment. A new range of CMOS linear image sensors has recently been developed, which offer very high-speed response whilst maintaining high resolution.
Thumb-Sized MOEMS Mini-Spectrometer for Visible Light Spectrometry
Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the C10988MA, an ultra-compact spectrometer built using MOEMS technology. The C10988MA is a thumb-sized device, measuring only 27.6 x 13 x 16.8 mm, developed for use in portable and hand-held devices, where a standard mini-spectrometer would be too large and consume too much power. Not only small, but the C10988MA is also light, weighing only 9 grams.
RoHS Compliant Photo IC for Ambient Light Monitoring
Hamamatsu Photonics introduce a new light to frequency output Photo IC, aimed primarily to replace traditional CdS photoconductive cells. They have been used for many years in light sensor products, but are now not compliant with new EU RoHS regulations.
InGaAs ROSAs for High Speed Data Transmission from Hamamatsu
Hamamatsu Photonics introduce the new G10518(X) series of 10 Gbps InGaAs PIN photodiode receivers mounted in industry standard ROSA (receiver optical sub-assembly) packages.
New Integral Optics facility now completed
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced that construction of their new building for the development of portable products which combine optical systems with photonic devices is now completed. The new facility, called the “Business Promotion Project Building,” is located on the grounds of the company’s Central Research Laboratory. The completion ceremony was held on the 16th October 2009 and operations will begin in November 2009.
Hamamatsu Microfocus X-ray Sources (MFX) Wins Prism Award
Hamamatsu Photonics is a proud recipient of a Prism Award, given in recognition of their MicroFocus X-ray Sources (MFX). The Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation is an international competition for companies that realise innovative products that break conventional ideas, solve problems and improve life with photonics technology. This prestigious Award was presented to Hamamatsu Photonics during a gala ceremony held during the SPIE Photonics West...
Hamamatsu Introduces ORCA-Flash2.8 Scientific CMOS Camera
Hamamatsu introduces the new ORCA-Flash2.8, our first high-sensitivity digital camera based on a next-generation Scientific CMOS image sensor. Designed for low-light imaging at high frame rates, this new camera combines high resolution, high sensitivity, high speed and low noise, with a price / performance level that is unmatched.
Elan Digital’s Vub300 Usb Sd/Sdio Bridge Chip Drivers Now Released To Latest Linux Kernel
Elan Digital Systems announced that driver support for its VUB300 chip is now included in the Linux 2.6.40 kernel. This acceptance by the Linux Community follows extensive compliance and stability testing in order to meet the required rigorous quality standards.
Elan Digital Releases Smallest Bridge Chips For Tablet Smartphones & Cellphones
Elan Digital Systems announces the immediate availability of its two new bridge chips designed to support latest Tablet Smartphones and other mobile system designs – the USBHC869 and the VUB300. The USBHC869, which measures only .16x.16 inches (4mm x 4mm), is the world’s smallest System Bus to USB Host controller bridge providing an additional USB 1.1 host controller for virtually any high performance low power system via the system bus.
Elan Digital enables PCMCIA interface for Intel Atom processors
Elan Digital Systems is launching its USBPC16 and USBPC32 chipsets to the market. The chipsets, which up till now were used as a proven solution in-house, now offer a simple and inexpensive product for designers using Intel’s new Atom Processors and needing to provide a legacy PCMCIA interface. Unlike other products on the market, these devices are not restricted to memory cards only.
