German electronics industry achieves 2.4% year-on-year growth
German electronics manufacturers overcame challenging international markets to achieve 2.4% year-on-year growth for the 11 months preceding November 2014, the ZVEI (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie eV, German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association) has reported. Turnover in the German industry is expected to have totaled €171bn over the year.

Probe adds CO2 leak location to transmitter functions
Now available for the Omniport 30 hand-held transmitter from E+E Elektronik is a CO2 probe with a measurement range of 0…2000 / 5000 / 10,000ppm. This means that the device can be used for ambient air monitoring or for CO2 leak localisation. Other E+E probes for humidity, temperature and air velocity and the integrated air pressure sensor make the Omniport 30 a universal transmitter for a variety of applications.
