MIPI D-PHY IP operates at 2.5Gb/s per lane on TSMC 16FF+ process
Synopsys has announced the industry's first demonstration of MIPI D-PHY IP on TSMC's 16FF+ (16nm FinFET Plus) process operating at 2.5Gb/s per lane. The demonstration shows the DesignWare D-PHY receiver lane connected to Keysight Technologies' test equipment, which provided burst-mode stimulus for stressed eye testing and the transmitter lane connected to the Keysight oscilloscope displaying the transmitter's performance.
Plug-in modules upgrade data acquisition recorders
Three products have been added to the range of plug-in measurement modules for Yokogawa’s DL850E/DL850EV ScopeCorder family of portable multi-channel data-acquisition recorders, bringing the total number of modules available to 19. The units are the 720211 high-speed (100MS/s) 12-bit isolation module, the 720243 SENT monitor module (available only for the DL850EV Vehicle Edition ScopeCorder) and the 720254 4-channel 1MS/s 16-bit isolation m...
50GHz, 23GHz models expand oscilloscope family
The DPO70000SX Performance Oscilloscope Series has been extended by Tektronix to include 50 GHz and 23 GHz models. The new 50GHz product is ideal for engineers and researchers who want to take advantage of the low-noise performance of the patented asynchronous time interleaving (ATI) architecture for technologies such as 28 GBaud PAM4 and Kband frequency testing.
PAM analysis solution operates on 70GHz oscilloscope
A comprehensive set of analysis tools for emerging PAM4 modulation measurement needs with full support for both optical and electrical interfaces has been introduced by Tektronix. The new tools operate on both DPO70000SX 70GHz real time and DSA8300 equivalent time oscilloscopes, ensuring that no matter which instrument configuration is needed for a particular application, the correct results will be delivered with the highest degree of accuracy.
Test set integrates BERT and sampling oscilloscope
The BERTWave MP2100B is an all-in-one test set from Anritsu with integrated BERT and sampling oscilloscope for developing and manufacturing Optical Modules. The test set is successor to the company’s MP2100A and provides more efficient evaluation of multichannel Optical Modules. Data Centres are urgently increasing the transmission capacity of their servers and network devices to meet the exploding demand for Cloud Computing services.
Mixed signal scopes augmented by current probes
Two new high-sensitivity current probes are now available for Yokogawa's families of mixed-signal oscilloscopes and ScopeCorders. The 701917, covering a frequency range from DC to 50 MHz, and the 701918, covering DC to 120 MHz, offer sensitivities ten times higher than previous models (typically 1 V/A) along with low noise levels of typically 60 µA RMS.
USB oscilloscope supports multiple platforms
An open source USB oscilloscope designated SmartScope developed by LabNation is believed to be the world’s first test equipment designed to run on multiple operating systems and platforms such as smartphones, tablets and PCs. The lightweight SmartScope is powered directly from the host’s USB interface making it ideal for many test and measurement applications far from the workbench.
Software option eases design of MIPI D-PHY interfaces
A new option from Rohde & Schwarz permits R&S RTO oscilloscopes to trigger on DSI- and CSI-2 specific protocol data (display and camera) and to decode the acquired waveforms into readable protocol content. The R&S RTO-K42 software option supports developers during the design, verification and debugging of modules with MIPI D-PHY based interfaces.
Transmitter test solution targets mobile storage devices
A fully automated physical layer transmitter test solution for the MIPI M-PHY 3.1 specification and Conformance Test Suite (CTS) 3.1 has been released by Tektronix. The solution supports M-PHY High Speed Gears 1, 2 and 3, PWM Mode (G0-G7), and SYS Mode and offers the industry’s lowest noise solution for M-PHY measurements when used with Tektronix DPO70000SX or MSO/DPO70000DX oscilloscopes and P7600 series probes.
Software enhances 5G development process
SignalVu software has been implemented on the Tektronix family on its family of DPO70000SX ATI Performance Oscilloscopes. This will allow researchers and others engaged in developing next generation wide- and ultra-wide bandwidth technologies such as 5G, cellular backhaul and radar to perform RF modulation measurements with unprecedented margins of error.
