32GB FlashAir cards simplify wireless photo sharing
Toshiba Electronics Europe introduce a new 32GB SD card, expanding its existing range of next-generation FlashAir wireless LAN SD cards. The new card features a new “internet pass-through” mode to further simplifies photo sharing. This feature enables the device to access the internet via a wireless access point, once a mobile device is connected to the FlashAir card.
Three new miniature packages for Automotive MOSFETs
Toshiba announce an expansion of its automotive power MOSFETs portfolio with three new miniature package formats. Helping designers make significant PCB space savings without compromising performance, Toshiba’s SOP-Advance packages are ideal for mid-power applications where DPAK devices are conventionally used. TSON Advance and PS-8 package formats can replace SOP-8 devices and save board space.
Infineon lands leading supplier title for 10th time in a row
For the tenth time in a row, Infineon Technologies has been named the world's leading supplier of power semiconductors by a report from market research institute IHS Inc. Coming in at number two in the report was Toshiba with a market share of 7.1%, compared with Infineon's 11.8% market share. During the 2012 study period, the market volume for power semiconductors dropped by nearly 16 percent to US Dollar 15 billion.
MCU with integrated motor drive and system control
Toshiba has today introduced a new microcontroller based on the ARM Cortex M3 processor. Enabling control of both motor drives and overall systems, the new TMPM384FDFG MCU combines large capacity memory with multi-purpose timer channels, AD converters and enhanced I/O ports into a single device.
Modules integrate NAND chips fabricated with 19nm technology
Toshiba have today unveiled a 32-gigabyte embedded device which integrates four 64Gbit (equal to 8GB) NAND chips fabricated with 19nm second generation process technology. Measuring only 11.5 x 13 x 1.0mm, it also comes with a dedicated controller.
Toshiba introduces 650V SiC Schottky Barrier Diodes
Toshiba has today announced the extension of its family of 650V silicon carbide Schottky Barrier Diodes with the introduction of 6, 8 and 10A devices, in addition to the 12A SBD that entered volume production earlier in 2013. Toshiba is aiming to address forecasted growth in the SiC power device market with its new offerings.
Drive costs down with new Toshiba LEDs
Fabricated using a GaN-on-Si process, the new 1W TL1F2 LEDs from Toshiba Electronics Europe offer a cost-competitive alternative to current LED packages which allow manufacturers of general purpose and industrial LED lighting to drive down costs. These are the first devices to be released in Toshiba's second generation of LETERASTM white LEDs.
Toshiba photocouplers boast ultra-minature packages
Ideal for use in compact switching power supplies, home appliances and industrial devices, Toshiba Electronics Europe's new low input current-type transistor output photocouplers come in ultra-miniature SO6 and SO4 packages and support operation in temperatures of up to 125°C.
System-basis-chip enhances automotive monitoring functions
Toshiba introduce the TB9042FTG, a multi-output system power supply IC. Enhancing monitoring functions in general automotive applications, the TB9042FTG incorporates multiple monitoring functions that detect any malfunctions of the IC and external microcontrollers. It also integrates a transmitting function that transfers data on monitoring status to an external microcontroller, which further supports improved safety.
