LEM introduces triple current measurement in single housing
LEM has introduced the HTT series of PCB-mounting current transducers to provide the facility to measure three currents with a single PCB-mounted unit. The new transducers, with maximum measurement currents ranging from 25 to 150 ARMS, allow three-phase currents to be monitored independently by a unit occupying a mounting area of only 16.8 cm2 and with a height of only 29 mm.
LEM announces Sentinel 3+ battery monitoring transducer upgrade for latest UPS designs
LEM has announced the introduction of Sentinel 3+, the latest generation of the proven Sentinel product that continuously monitors the state of health of batteries in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
IC transducer for AC and DC isolated current measurement to 100 KHz
LEM has introduced Minisens, a miniature, IC transducer for AC and DC isolated current measurement up to 100 KHz. This new component offers full isolation (no optocouplers required) and high sensitivity (from 20 mV to 200 mV per Amp of primary current) with no insertion losses. It is mounted directly onto a PCB as an SMD device, reducing manufacturing cost.
DC Class 1 accuracy DV voltage transducer from LEM
LEM introduces the DV series voltage transducer for insulated voltage measurements from 1200-4200 VRMS. Featuring LEM’s patented insulating technology, the DV transducer is significantly smaller than any equivalent product on the market today, measuring only 134 x 54.22 x 147.25mm.
RiCell Flex Fuel Cell System - The Alternative Emergency Power Supply
In the past, conventional fuel cells for stationary applications had seldom been economically viable, because of the high costs compared to conventional technologies. Worries about energy consumption and efficiency, a complex structure in conjunction with expensive maintenance and service costs, as well as the inability to expand, stood in the way of fuel cell technology making a breakthrough.
Biodata Ltd announces the Microlink 840, a versatile 8-channel data logger which can also monitor alarm thresholds and output digital control signals.
The Microlink 840 is ideally suited for monitoring analogue transducers including pressure, temperature, force, voltage and current, monitoring digital sensors like flow meters; counting switch closures; counting items produced; monitoring machines to record percentage on/off times and logging data from utility meters.
Norbar Ultrasonic Instrument Shows New Real Time Measurement Capabilities
A chance experiment on a wind farm in Texas has demonstrated an example of the non-traditional applications that can be carried out by Norbar’s portable USM-3 ultrasonic bolt meter, which provides precise measurements for the elongation (resolution to 0.0001 mm) and load in threaded fasteners. It is known to be incredibly versatile, being able to undertake measurements for fasteners measuring from 25mm to over 15m long. What was not widely appr...
Mantracourt Introduces Wireless Potentiometer Acquisition Module to T24 Telemetry Range
Mantracourt has announced the release of its new wireless telemetry potentiometer acquisition module. The T24-RA wireless potentiometer module is designed for the collection and processing of potentiometer related measurements such as provided by a linear displacement transducer.
Quality Matters: Ulsan utilise Brüel & Kjær automotive solutions
Ulsan Technopark’s Automotive Innovation Parts Center (APIC) provides test services for customers who are mainly manufacturers of components - both Tier 1 and Tier 2. Brüel & Kjær’s PULSE platform, LDS shakers, arrays and transducers are all used at the facility for automotive noise vibration harshness (NVH), environmental and material testing.
Rugged accelerometers can take some punishment
The rugged CTA103 accelerometers from Aptifirst Instrumentation and Technology are able to withstand up to 4,000g of acceleration overload. The MEMS precision capacitative silicon devices that form the cores of the accelerometers are potted in a 30 x 25 x 15mm, IP65 aluminium housing to provide maximum reliability. The transducers are available with either 0.5-4.5V voltage output (CTA103V), or with a 4-20mA current loop output (CTA103A).
