Stephen Tetlow MBE, Chief Executive, IMechE (Institution of Mechanical Engineers) has responded to EngineeringUK’s 'The State of Engineering 2015' report. He commented: “This report shows the UK is facing a cliff-edge. It provides sobering statistics on the drastic shortage of engineers the UK faces. Every politician and policy-maker must understand the messages it is sending.

Renishaw attended the Big Bang Fair in London last week to help promote science and engineering to children, parents and teachers from across the UK. The event was attended by over 60,000 people and was well supported by Government, with the opening performed by Business Secretary Vince Cable, and visits also received by the Prime Minister and David Willetts, Minister for Universities and Science.

Renishaw is pleased to be announced as a sponsor of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineer's Fair as part of its ongoing commitment to develop the next generation of engineers. The Big Bang Fair takes place at ExCeL, London from 14 – 17 March 2013.
