Enhancing simulation and measurement at millimeter-wave frequencies
Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced at European Microwave Week 2016, ExCel Exhibition Centre, Booth E2, an industry-leading breakthrough in spectrum and signal analysis at millimeter-wave frequencies. The Keysight N9041B UXA X-Series signal analyzer is the first to provide frequency coverage to 110 GHzwith a maximum analysis bandwidth of up to 5 GHz.
Signal generators offer multiple modulation functions
The Siglent SDG1000X Series of Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators which output sine, square, ramp, and pulse waveforms to 60MHz with a 14-bit sampling rate of 150MSa/s at up to +/-20V has been introduced by Saelig. The generators feature Siglent's patented EasyPulse technology for low jitter and very fast rising and falling edges that are frequency-independent even at low duty cycle settings.
Education hub established to aid academe
A new education hub has been established by RS Components to support schools, colleges and universities to make informed choices about the most appropriate industrial electronics and other engineering equipment to fulfil their teaching and support requirements, as well as to encourage creativity, design and innovation through the early adoption of the newest technologies.
How to set up oscilloscope triggering
Have you ever struggled to get a stable waveform on your scope? This video will show you how to set your triggers to get a stable display of signals from simple sine waves to modulated signals and burst signals.
How to set up oscilloscope triggering
In the 2nd video on triggering an oscilloscope, we look at pulse-width triggering, trigger hold-off and runt pulse triggers. These techniques will come in handy when capturing digital signals and bursts.
400Gb/s test solutions centre stage at ECOC 2016
Test and measurement solutions designed to advance communications beyond 400Gb/s—from components through data centre to telecommunications will be featured by Keysight Technologies at ECOC 2016 in Düsseldorf (Sept. 19-21). Demonstrations will include a variety of measurement solutions used in the characterisation of electrical and optical transceivers and in component test.
Tektronix enhances Optical Modulation Analyser Software
Tektronix announced a series of enhancements to its optical modulation analyser (OMA) software. The latest release provides optical research engineers with the ability to evaluate multi-channel coherent modulation schemes with confidence using a single measurement system. Engineers can now calibrate and control multiple OMA’s to easily acquire and analyse simultaneous data from multiple channels such as different wavelengths or fiber cores.
EuMW 2016: Gigabit waveform engineering on your desktop
PicoScope PC-based sampling oscilloscopes delivering 20GHz bandwidth with standard measurements and advanced waveform analysis for gigabit signals will be demonstrated by Pico Technology at European Microwave Week in London (October 4-6). Two and four channels models are available, with options for clock recovery to 11.3 Gbit/s and optical input to 9.5GHz.
Digital storage scope comes in 70/100MHz models
The TBS2000 digital storage oscilloscope recently launched by Tektronix has been added to the test and measurement portfolio at distributor RS Components. The instrument targets a wide range of uses including troubleshooting, and as a general-purpose oscilloscope for prototyping, debugging and design validation of new products.
Bench test solutions equip university lab
A new fully equipped state-of–the-art undergraduate electronics teaching laboratory with wireless communications has been opened at the University of Warwick, School of Engineering. Tektronix, and TTi Distribution have equipped the laboratory with the latest Tektronix bench test solutions and TekSmarkLab.
