Compact SMD inductors serve space constraints
Two power inductors from Würth Elektronik eiSos, the WE-PMMI and WE-PMCI, can be used in efficient DC/DC switching controllers where space is limited. They can be used in switching controllers and portable applications.
Feed-through connectors are designed for XLR panel cutouts
Schukat has introduced a comprehensive range ofCliff feed-through connectorsthat use standard cabling and are designed for XLR panel cutouts. The broad selection ofCliff audio/video connectorscomprises HDMI, various USB models, LC Duplex, SC Simplex and RJ45, both shielded and unshielded versions in Cat5e and Cat6A.
Würth exhibit power modules & EMC solutions at PCIM Asia 2016
Würth Elektronik has revealed that it will be exhibiting at PCIM Asia 2016, taking place from 28th to 30th June, 2016, in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. At the event, the manufacturer will be focusing on power modules, such as the step-down converters of the Magl³C product series, and the topics of wireless power transfer and energy harvesting. Demoboards will be presented for all three focal topics.
PCB relays need only half the space of previous-generations
Schukat aims to be your partner of choice when it comes to relays.WithZettler, the company now has another well-known manufacturer among itsrelay suppliers. Zettler'sAZ956 seriesPCB relaysstand out with their super-small dimensions. At just 13x7.62x6.9mm, they require only half the space of previous-generation standard relays.
CAT II & III safety measuring leads ensure optimal connection & long life
Schukat supplies Schützingerleads for rated current of 32A and rated voltage of 1000V in protection classesCAT II(VSKF5000andVSKF5001 series) andCAT III(VSKF6000andVSKF6001). The ''fixed sleeve principle'' favoured bySchützingerprevents inadvertent contact with the connecting elements, guaranteeing greater safety than with the sliding-sleeve principle more usual on the market.
24VDC IP68 device fans are reliable in harsh environments
Schukat has recently added compact 80x80x25mm Sunon IP68 equipment fans, operating on 24VDC, to its portfolio of cooling solutions. The fans of the GE/GF series differ in their speeds and air throughput, ranging from an air flow of 90m³/h with generated noise of 44.5dBA (model GE80252B3-AE9) up to the most powerful with an air flow of 101.9m³/h at 48dBA (model GE80252B1-AE9).
MT-CONNECT: Nuremberg's new event for medical technology
The name says it all: MT-CONNECT is the new sector platform for medical technology. The trade fair held by NürnbergMesse in co-operation with the honorary sponsor, Forum MedTech Pharma e.V., brings together all the sub-sectors involved in the development and manufacture of medical products.
“SemI40” strengthens Europe’s economy with the “learning factory”
The research project SemI40 (“Power Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing 4.0”) led by Infineon Austria was launched recently. In this project 37 partners from five countries will carry out research into further developing autonomous factories. The common goal is the next stage in the development of Industry 4.0 applications. With a volume of €62m, the research project is one of the largest Industry 4.0 projects in Europe.
Top notch keynotes headline RF and Wireless Forums
Two top notch keynotes will be delivered at next month’s RF and Wireless Forums at the Williams F1 Conference Centre near Oxford (June 7) and the Moller Centre, Cambridge (June 14). The Oxford venue will host a keynote on LiFi, the high-speed, bi-directional and fully networked wireless communications, akin to Wi-Fi, using visible light.
A world record in wireless data transmission
Transmitting the contents of a conventional DVD in under ten seconds by radio transmission is incredibly fast – and a new world record in wireless data transmission. With a data rate of 6 Gb per second over a distance of 37 km, a collaborative project with the participation of researchers from the University of Stuttgart and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics IAF exceeded the state of the art by a factor of 10.
