Free IoT technical workshop at embedded world
GlobalPlatform, the standard for secure digital services and devices, alongside prime sponsor Oracle and supporting sponsors STMicroelectronics and Able Device, is hosting a free IoT technical workshop in Nuremberg on Thursday February 27th, 2020. The full day workshop will educate delegates on the value of Secure Elements (SEs) to secure and enrich the deployment of internet of things (IoT) devices.
Support for LoRaWAN firmware update over the air
STMicroelectronics has enhanced its STM32 LoRaWAN software expansion package for developers (I-CUBE-LRWAN) to support the latest Firmware Update Over The Air (FUOTA) specifications. FUOTA cost-effectively future-proofs LoRa devices by simplifying applying application-layer updates and RF-stack updates to devices in the field, increasing the value of LoRa as a long-range, low-power technology for connecting IoT devices.
Fully integrated power management IC saves board space
With features including four DC/DC buck converters, a boost DC/DC converter, and six low-dropout regulators (LDOs), the STMicroelectronicsSTPMIC1power-management IC (PMIC) satisfies the complex power demands of highly integrated application-processor based systems.
Products worth £2500 up for grabs in RS New Year giveaway
RS Components (RS) has teamed up with Maxim Integrated, STMicroelectronics and TE Connectivity to offer one lucky member of its DesignSpark engineering platform, the chance to win an exclusive bundle of products worth more than £2,500.
Affordable and easy-to-use eight-bit MCUs
STMicroelectronics is making design starts using eight-bit STM8 microcontrollers (MCUs) faster, more affordable, and more accessible for creative minds of all types by introducing new development boards in the easy-to-use Nucleo-32 form factor.
Memory chips let small devices handle bigger user data
STMicroelectronics has introduced a new generation of memory chips that combine storage density with speed and reliability, enabling the devices we use every day to do more to enrich life and work. With 4Mbit capacity, ST’s new EEPROM memories let small devices capture and store more data through the serial SPI bus.
