The T4KB3, a 13MP BackSide Illumination (BSI) CMOS image sensor with an optical format of 1/3.07", has been announced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. Offering video capture at up to 120fps with full 1080p HD, the image sensor'ssmall form factor is suited for use inever slimmer high end smartphones and tablets.

High speed data transfer adapter launched for iOS
Compatible with iOS 7.1/8.1 iPhones, iPads and iPods fitted with a Lightning connector port, Toshiba announces the first TransferJet adapter for iOS devices. TransferJet technology enables simple ultra-high speed data transfers with low power consumption and close proximity wireless data transfer. Maximum data throughput is 375Mb/s, and 100MB of data can be transmitted in approximately three seconds.

Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced what it claims is the world's first SDHC memory card with built-in NFC and an improved version of the company’s popular FlashAir Wireless SD card. The NFC SDHC card allows users to preview card content and spare capacity with just the touch of a smartphone, while FlashAir III cards can serve as their own WLAN access point.

Toshiba has extended its ApP Lite family with two application processors for wearables, the TZ1031MBG and TZ1011MBG single package IoT solutions. Interest in services that monitor the duration and level of physical activity has exploded, which has increased demand for wearables such as activity monitors, smart watches, bracelets and spectacles, which promote exercise, improve nutrition and help prevent diseases related to lifestyle.

Bluetooth IC integrates DSP for automotive audio
Combining full Bluetooth operation with audio processing capabilities and supporting circuitry, the TC35668IXBG system IC has been announced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The device is suitablefor automotive hands-free and audio streaming subsystems for integration by car OEMs and the after-sales automotive market. It can also form the basis of a subsystem such as a wireless speaker.
