The new FRED Pt recovery rectifiers from Vishay are available through TTI in Europe. With their fast and soft recovery characteristics, low leakage current, and low forward voltage drop of 0.93V, the components reduce switching losses and over-dissipation in automotive and telecom applications, e.g. DC/DC converters in engine control units (ECU), antilock braking systems (ABS), LED lighting and telecom DC/DC bricks.

TVS devices achieve ±3.5% breakdown voltage tolerance
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of SMT TransZorb Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS). Vishay General Semiconductor SMBJXXD series TVS achieve ±3.5% breakdown voltage tolerance and very low reverse leakage current. Compared to previous devices, the series offers excellent clamping features with higher peak pulse surge current and lower clamping voltage for better input protection of ICs.
Snap-in aluminium capacitor range extended to 500V
Vishay Intertechnology has extended its 157 PUM-SI series of ultra-miniature snap-in power aluminium electrolytic capacitors with a higher rated voltage of 500V. Designed for power supplies, industrial motor controls, and solar PV inverters, the enhanced devices save board space and lower costs by allowing designers to utilise one component instead of two 250 V capacitors.

Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of surface-mount MultiLayer Ceramic chip Capacitors (MLCCs), qualified to MIL-PRF-123 for aerospace and military applications. These high-reliability Vishay Vitramon devices are manufactured in Vishay's MIL-STD-790-certified (Cage Code SHV71) facility and are available with BP and BX dielectrics in seven body sizes ranging from 0805 to 2225 and with capacitance as low as 1.0pF.
