Power supply module has high stability and low noise
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced the development of the world’s smallest high-voltage power supply (HVPS) module with high stability and low noise. The new HVPS module (part number: C14210-14) is less than half the size and weight of Hamamatsu’s conventional product. Its miniaturisation was made possible by a newly developed proprietary manufacturing process for layering high isolation circuits on high voltage circuits.
Range of photomultipliers feature enhanced near infrared sensitivity
Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced their range of Silicon Photomultipliers (SiPMs); the S13720 series. Available in ceramic and surface mount package, these MPPCs have a structure to significantly enhance sensitivity in the NIR region, making them well suited for industrial LIDAR applications.
Hamamatsu opens factory dedicated to assembly & inspection
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced the completion of a new building no. 1 at Shingai Factory to increase the manufacturing capacity of opto-semiconductor devices. The new building will be dedicated to the assembly and inspection in the manufacturing process.
CMOS linear image sensor features electronic shutter functionalities
Featuring electronic shutter and gain switching functionalities, as well as high sensitivity in the red, green and blue wavelength ranges of visible light, Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the S13488.
High-sensitivity InAsSb device added to infrared detector
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has developed an uncooled InAsSb (indium arsenide antimonide) photovoltaic detector that offers high-speed and high-sensitivity detection of infrared light in the 3 to 11 micron wavelength range. The device, part number P13894-011MA, extends the upper limit of sensitivity of Hamamatsu’s InAsSb detectors from 8 microns to 11 microns, which will enable users to measure molecules that absorb longer wavelengths of light...
Expanding production of infrared detectors and emitters
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced the construction of a building no. 3 at its Miyakoda Factory to increase manufacturing capacity of compound semiconductor devices. This expansion is being done in anticipation of growing demand for detectors and emitters in various applications that utilise infrared light.
Image sensor sockets de-risk device manufacturing
Image sensor sockets produced by Andon are available to customers in the UK and Ireland from Luso Electronics. The sockets enable OEMs and contract manufacturers to de-risk their production processes by removing the need to solder the image sensor itself to their PCBs. Instead, soldering the socket to the PCB protects sensors from damage during board assembly and processing, while also providing an easy and cost-effective method for future device...
InGaAs photodiode designed for near infrared spectrophotometry
The InGaAs linear image sensor consisting of 512 pixels with a 25µm pixel pitch has been introduced by Hamamatsu Photonics. The G12230-512WB employs two InGaAs chips of different cut-off wavelengths, giving it a spectral response range of 950 to 2150nm.
USB-powered polychromator contains optical elements
The TF series mini-spectrometer for colour measurement applications; the C13555MA has been introduced by Hamamatsu Photonics. This USB-powered polychromator contains optical elements, a driver circuit and a built-in high-sensitivity CMOS sensor. The512 pixel CMOS sensor allows for low power consumption while retaining the sensitivity of a CCD; the trigger function within the device can be used for spectroscopic measurement of pulse emissions.
MPPCs incorporate through-hole electrodes
The range of Multi-Pixel Photon Counters (MPPC); the S13360-VE series has been introduced byHamamatsu Photonics. These COB package type MPPCs incorporate through-hole electrodes called TSV (Through-Silicon Via). This process optimises the available space between the sensitive area and the package edge (0.2mm on the four sides), allowing for a four-sided buttable arrangement.
