Resistors with gold-plated terminals operate up to +225°C
VPG has introduced a series of ultra-high-precision Z1 Foil Technology wraparound surface-mount chip resistors designed for high-temperature applications to +225°C. Featuring gold-plated terminals for design flexibility, the FRSG series devices offer low TCR of ±2.5 ppm/°C maximum from -55 to +200°C (+25 °C ref.), tight tolerances to ±0.01% and load-life stability to ±0.1% after 2,000 hours of working power at...
Automotive inductor is industry's first to operate to +180°C
Claimed to be the industry's first to feature continuous operating temperatures to +180°C, a new automotive-grade IHLP low-profile, high-current inductor has been released by Vishay Intertechnology in the 3232 case size. Offering a low 4.0mm profile, the IHLP-3232DZ-8A provides a wide range of inductance values from 0.22 to 33µH.
Current sense resistor features Kelvin 4-terminal connection
Vishay Intertechnology has announced a surface-mount Power Metal Stripcurrent sense resistor featuring a Kelvin 4-terminal connection that reduces TCR down to 35ppm and enables tight tolerances down to 0.1% for increased measurement accuracy. The Vishay DaleWSK1206combines tight tolerance and low TCR with extremely low resistance values down to 0.01Ω in the compact 1206 case size.
Diaphragm sensors meet wide variety of applications
A line of linear and circular diaphragm sensors has been extended by Micro-Measurements, a Vishay Precision Group brand, with the introduction of smaller, higher-resistance patterns to serve a wider variety of pressure measurement applications. Strain gauge manufacturers have produced diaphragm gauges for use in pressure transducers for over 40 years.
High-temp option improves IR receiver/sensor reliability
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced an extended temperature option for its TSOP37xxx, TSOP57xxx, and TSSP57xxx series of IR receivers and sensors in the SMT Belobog package. While the standard storage and operating temperature range for Vishay's standard IR receivers is -25 to +85°C, devices with the "E" option feature an extended storage range of -40 to +110°C and extended operating range of 30 to +85°C.
Compact 600V power MOSFETs offer low thermal resistance
Vishay Intertechnology has announced that it is now offering its 600V E Series power MOSFETs in the compact PowerPAK8x8 package. The Vishay SiliconixSiHH26N60E,SiHH21N60E,SiHH14N60E, andSiHH11N60Eall feature a large drain terminal for low thermal resistance and a Kelvin source connection that can increase efficiency by improving the gate drive signal.
High-power UV LEDs enable extremely long lifetimes
Designed to provide a reliable, energy-saving replacement for mercury lamps, Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the first two devices in a new series of ceramic-based, high-power UV LEDs with silicone lenses. The VLMU3500-385-060 and VLMU3500-385-120 deliver exceptionally long lifetimes in compact 3.5x3.5mm surface-mount packages for medical, industrial and printing applications.
Compact, USB-powered DAQ targets classroom use
A pocket-sized, USB-powered data acquisition device for use with resistive strain gauges has been introduced by Micro-Measurements, a Vishay Precision Group brand. Optimised for classroom environments or convenient, low-cost gauge installation verification, the easy-to-use StudentDAQ doesn't require calibration and it features built-in support for a single channel of full-bridge, half-bridge and 120Ω quarter-bridge inputs, including all nec...
Dual inductor saves space in class D amplifiers
Expanding its IHLD series of low-profile, high-current dual inductors, Vishay Intertechnology has announced a new device in the 3232 case size. Operating over a wide temperature range from -55 to +155°C, the automotive-grade IHLD-3232HB-5A saves board space by combining two inductors in one 9.75x9.14mm package.
Strain gage bundle is designed for 400°C
To meet the growing demand for precise and reliable strain gages and accessories operating in harsh environments, Micro-Measurements, a Vishay Precision Group (VPG) brand, has announced that it has launched a new strain gage bundle designed for high-temperature applications above 400°C.
