Value instruments encompass oscilloscope, signal generator
A new range of value test and measurement products from Rohde and Schwarz has been added to the Farnell element14 portfolio. The products include a number from Hameg Instrument, which Rohde & Schwarz recently integrated into its Test and Measurement Division.
IoT test solution offers offers performance test cases in one box.
As the Internet of Things (IoT) takes shape, manufacturers who want to integrate wireless modules into their products now face completely new test requirements. The US's largest wireless network operator is the first network operator to publish specific test plans for IoT integrators, and in response, Rohde & Schwarz announces the availability of its new R&S TS-290 IoT carrier acceptance test system, which is based on these test plans.
Probe monitors power consumption of chipsets, wearables
The new R&S RT-ZVC02/04 multichannel power probe can measure across large current and voltage ranges without having to switch ranges, making it possible to monitor the power consumption of chipsets, radio modules and wearables such as smartwatches.
Embedded World: Probe features DC voltmeter
At Embedded World Rohde & Schwarz released theRT-ZPR20, a new, extremely low-noise power rail probe with a bandwidth of 2GHz. Its 1:1 attenuation also ensures very good sensitivity. The large offset range of ±60V permits analysis of the smallest disturbance signals during power integrity measurements, even on DC power supplies with a high voltage level.
Embedded World: Oscilloscope, power supply added to value instruments range
At embedded world 2017, Rohde & Schwarz introduced three entry-level test and measurement products. For these and other entry-level products, Rohde & Schwarz will extend its distribution network of channel partners worldwide. The R&S RTB2000 is an entry-level oscilloscope that offers a 10-bit vertical resolution as well as 10 Msample memory and a 10in. touchscreen.
NB-IoT and eMTC protocol conformance test cases in one instrument
The R&S CMW500 from Rohde & Schwarz offers both NB-IoT and eMTC protocol conformance tests. Manufacturers and test houses can now use a single instrument to verify that chipsets, modules and devices are standard-compliant. Enhanced machine type communications (eMTC) und narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) are part of LTE Release 13. Together, they are known as cellular IoT (C-IoT).
Test company issues RED alert at EMV 2017
Compliance and pre-compliance test receivers, highly sophisticated, harmonised system solutions, analysis software and broadband amplifiers will be showcased by Rohde & Schwarz at EMV 2017 in Stuttgart (March 28-30). A special focus this year is the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), the new certification guideline for radio equipment in Europe.
MWC2017: Duo demo test setup for 2Gbit/s data transfer over LTE
Rohde & Schwarz and Prisma Telecom Testing, a supplier of performance testing solutions, have successfully completed verification of LTE FDD five component carrier (5CC) aggregation in the downlink, including 4x4 MIMO and 256QAM on each carrier. This combination allows data transfer rates up to 2 Gbit/s. Rohde & Schwarz has presented this test setup to the public for the first time at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
MWC2017: Test platform speeds release of NB-IoT devices
Rohde & Schwarz has successfully implemented a wide range of NB-IoT tests that can be used to verify the Qualcomm Technologies’ MDM9206 global Cat M1/Cat NB-1 dual-mode LTE modem. By using the R&S CMW-KU300 NB-IoT MLAPI scenarios and the R&S CMW-KR313 3GPP Rel. 13 C-IoT protocol test enabler on a single R&S CMW500 radio communication tester, engineers can test their IoT devices based on the MDM9206 LTE modem under realistic ...
MWC2017:1.2 GHz analysis bandwidth ushers in 5G R&D test solution
Rohde & Schwarz announced at Mobile World Congress that it is expanding the internal analysis bandwidth of its R&S FSW high end signal and spectrum analyser to 1.2 GHz by introducing the new R&S FSW-B1200 option. This test solution enables R&D users to analyse wideband signals in detail. No other instrument is needed as an external digitiser.
