Vishay ceramic chip capacitors now offered by Modelithics
To help designers simulate circuit performance and reduce time to market, Vishay Intertechnology, has announced that Modelithics→, is now offering modeling for Vishay Vitramon VJ HIFREQ series high-frequency surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) in the 0402 and 0603 case sizes.
SMD wet tantalum capacitors offer smaller sizes
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a tantalum-cased wet tantalum capacitor with a glass-to-tantalum hermetic seal that is the industry's first in the compact 9x7.1x7.4mm C case code. For avionics and aerospace systems, the T22 combines a reverse voltage of 1.5V at +85°C with increased thermal shock capability of 300 cycles in a surface-mount package.
Passive components span variety of applications
The passive components at Farnell element14 has been extended with new additions from industry-leading suppliers TE Connectivity, Ohmite, Bourns and Vishay. The new ranges include TE Corcom power line filters, Ohmite/Arcol HS aluminium-housed resistors, Bourns’ gas discharge tubes, and Vishay high voltage flat chip resistors. The products are ideal for applications within the industrial, telecommunications and test equipment markets.
Transmitter coil saves space in Qi wireless charging pads
Suitable for use in WPC-compatible Tx circuits operating with 19V input for up to 10W wireless charging applications, Vishay Intertechnology has introduced an AEC-Q200-qualified, powdered-iron-based, WPC-compliant wireless charging A10 type transmitter coil.
Micro-Measurements introduces StrainBond service
Micro-Measurements, a Vishay Precision Group brand, has introduced a design, installation and customisation service for transducers built on foil strain gages. Drawing on the extensive PhotoStress experimental stress analysis experience of VPG's recently acquired Stress-Tek, StrainBond provides engineers with full transducer support from development through installation.
Phase control thyristor lowers costs & saves space
Suited for power switching applications, Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a 50A, 1200V phase control thyristor in the new long leads TO-247 package. The VS-50TPS12L-M3 is optimised for line rectification, soft start motor control and temperature control in UPS units, welding equipment, power converters, industrial battery chargers and solid-state relays.
IoT sensor line up primed for Nuremberg outing
A comprehensive portfolio of sensors for applications within the Internet of Things will be showcased by Rutronik at Sensor+Test (May 10-12) in Nuremberg under the brand RUTRONIK SMART. This will comprise MEMS sensors, pressure sensors as well as magnetic and optical sensors from the leading manufacturers Bosch Sensortec, Diodes, Honeywell, Infineon, Melexis, Micronas, NJRC, Omron, Panasonic, Sensirion, STMicroelectronics and Vishay.
Space-saving analogue switch features ultra-thin 0.35mm profile
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a 1.4x1.8mm miniQFN10 package with an ultra-thin 0.35mm profile, providing a space-saving alternative to larger miniQFN10 and WCSP devices commonly used in portable applications. The Vishay Siliconix DG2592 audio jack detector and DG2750 low-voltage dual SPDT analogue switch are the first devices in a new family of solutions to feature the enhanced package.
Automotive grade PIN photodiodes deliver photoresponse linearity
Vishay Intertechnology is broadening its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of six Automotive Grade, high-speed silicon PIN photodiodes that feature excellent photoresponse linearity for small signal detection.
High-voltage SMD MLCCs deliver high reliability
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) optimised for high-voltage industrial and telecomms applications. Providing increased reliability over standard devices, the Vishay Vitramon HV High Voltage Series features a robust serial electrode design and an extended voltage range up to 5kV in four standard EIA sizes from 1812 to 2225.
