For portable electronics, consumer and telecomms applications, the 180 CPS and 181 CPL series devices provide higher ripple current, lower impedance and longer useful life than standard aluminium capacitors.
AC-line-rated ceramic disc capacitors save space
Vishay Intertechnology has revealed that it has extended the capacitance range of its 440L series of AC-line-rated ceramic disc capacitors. Designed to provide high reliability for Class X1 (760VAC) and Class Y1 (500VAC) applications in accordance with IEC 60384-14, 4th edition, the devices have been hailed by the manufacturer as the industry's first to offer capacitance up to 20nF.
