EMC filters: LeaXield minimizes earth leakage currents
TDK Corporation presents the EPCOS LeaXield active filter module – a completely new solution for the minimization of earth leakage currents in power drive systems with frequency converters. Leakage current can cause RCDs (residual current device) to trip. In some applications this means that RCDs with low thresholds such as 30 mA cannot be used, or only with substantial additional expense. The LeaXield active filter module is connected betw...
Converters' integrated switch saves 35% of PCB space
Featuring a footprint of only 2.9x 2.3mm and an insertion height of 1mm, the B30000P80 series of ultra-compact EPCOS µDC/DC converters has been released by TDK. A 6MHz power switch, which is claimed to save up to 35% of space, is embedded in the miniature PCB.The B30000P80 series is comprised of eight µDC/DC converters, which are designed for an input voltage range of 2.2 and 5.5VDC and offer output voltages from 1.10-2.80VDC.
DIN rail power supplies provide advanced control features
Operating from a universal input of 85-264VAC (47-63Hz) with active power factor correction to ensure EN61000-3-2 compliance, the compact TDK-Lambda DRF series ofenergy efficient, DIN rail, convection-cooled power supplies meets demand for applications that require advanced control features, including those found in industrial equipment, building automation and process control.
SMT current sense transformers have a turn ratio of 1:100
Designed for automotive electronics, two SMT current sense transformers have been introduced by TDK. Based on an EP7 ferrite core, the B78417A2185A003is designed to measure pulse currents of up to 20A.DC resistance is 1.3mΩ on the primary side and 3.7Ω on the secondary side.
NP0-based MLCCs offer a tolerance of ±30ppm/K up to +150°C
Now claiming to offer the industry’s broadest portfolio of NP0 products in terms of voltage range and capacitance range, TDK has expanded its CGA series of automotive-grade MLCCs based on NP0 ceramics. The devices, which are rated from 250 to 630V, feature a temperature coefficient of 0 and a tolerance of ±30ppm/K up to +150°C.
Power supplies have a 10-year E-cap lifetime
Featuring active PFC which meets EN/IEC61000-3-2, 12 and 15V single output power supplies have been released by TDK. The models, which operate from a universal input of 85-265VAC, are additions to the company’s ZWS300BAF series of power supplies. Providing a reliable solution, the power supplies have a 10-year E-cap lifetime.
Capacitors offer 25% higher ripple current capability
Suited for converters and power supplies for use in industrial electronics, TDK has introduced a series of EPCOS snap-in aluminium electrolytic capacitors. The B43642* series devices feature a ripple current capability that is up to 25% higher than that of previous EPCOS series.
Enclosed AC/DC power supplies provide single 5-48VDC outputs
Available in five power levels between 50 and 600W, TDK-Lambda has announced the RWS-B series of enclosed AC/DC single output power supplies. The series operates from a universal input of 85-265VAC to meet a wide range of applications, including industrial, test & measurement, broadcast, communications and LED signage.
RF chokes are suitable for currents of up to 4450mA
The LBC+ series of RF chokes, suitable for currents of up to 4450mA at saturation currents of up to 7700mA, has been released by TDK. According to the company, this is an increase of up to 80% compared to previous versions. The chokes, which provide inductance values from 1.0 to 470µH, are manufactured in both axial and radial types.
Active harmonic filters optimise power quality
Optimising power quality, theEPCOS PQSine series of active harmonic filters has been introduced byTDK. The filters are designed for3-phase networks, with and without neutral conductors, at voltages from 200 to 480VAC and 50/60Hz. Capable of analysing and neutralisingharmonics up to the 50th order, the filters areavailable in steps of 60A up to a maximum rated current of 600A.
