Industry's first ferrite bead impedance calculator
Vishay Intertechnology has announced what it claims to be the industry's first online ferrite bead impedance calculator. Available at www.vishay.com/inductors/ferrite-bead-calculator/, the time-saving online tool makes it simple to find the impedance of Vishay's most popular surface-mount ferrite beads at any given frequency and calculate the effective impedance at the stated frequency with DC bias applied.
Automotive grade inductors save board space
Now available in Europe through TTI are Vishay’s automotive-grade IHLD dual inductors offering high temperature operation up to +155°C. The new low-profile and high-current devices save board space by combining two inductors in one 9.75mm by 9.14mm package and provide a very good performance in Class D amplifiers.
Miniature IR receivers offer improved RF noise rejection
Expanding its optoelectronics portfolio, Vishay Intertechnology introduces two series of miniature IR receiver modules for IR remote control applications in consumer products. Offered in the new Minimold package, the TSOP33xxx and TSOP53xxx series devices deliver the same RF noise rejection as Minicast receivers while surpassing the high optical performance of Mold package devices.
Resistors provide superior pulse and ESD handling
Optimised for use in automotive and industrial applications, Vishay Intertechnology has announced a series of anti-surge, high-power thick film chip resistors. For applications subject to high and repetitive surge pulses, devices in the AEC-Q200-qualified RCS e3 series offer superior pulse load performance and ESD surge characteristics when compared to standard chip resistors.
UV LED delivers long lifetime in compact package
Expanding its offering of mid-power UV LEDs in the 365nm wavelength range, Vishay Intertechnology announces the VLMU1610-365-135 with a silicone lens in a compact 1.6x1.6x1.4mm surface-mount package. The VLMU1610-365-135 is designed to provide a reliable, energy-saving replacement for mercury lamps and delivers an exceptionally long lifetime for medical, industrial and printing applications.
Thin film chip resistors deliver up to 6W in small sizes
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of high-power, surface-mount, precision non-magnetic thin film chip resistors. The PCNM series offers power ratings of 2 and 6W in compact 1206 and 2512 case sizes, respectively. These high power ratings make the devices suited for use in power supplies for telecomms, medical and military equipment and instrumentation.
Aluminium capacitors offer vibration resistance to 50g
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced five series of aluminium capacitors with increased vibration capabilities over standard devices. Providing high stability and reliability in automotive and industrial applications, the surface-mount 260 CLA-V, 246 CTI-V and 250 CRZ-V and radial 246 RTI-V and 250 RMI-V combine their high-vibration performance with low impedance, high ripple current and long useful life.
Transient voltage suppressors target tablets & laptops
The new VTVSxxASMF series of surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) protection diodes from Vishay are now available at Rutronik. They are the industry’s first to feature a 2% breakdown voltage tolerance. They are ideal for line transient voltage protection in space-constrained electronics, such as laptops, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, and external hard drives.
ESD protection diode saves space in portable electronics
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a Bidirectional Symmetrical (BiSy) 2-line ESD protection diode for portable electronics. Saving space over solutions in the SOT23 package, the VBUS05M2-HT1 in the ultra-compact LLP1006-3L package offers ultra-low capacitance and leakage current for the protection of high-speed data lines against transient voltage signals.
MOSFETs offer reduced package sizes & increased reliability
An extension on the offer of higher voltages has been announced by Vishay Intertechnology, of the600V and 650V E Series power MOSFETswith three new n-channel devices in the compact PowerPAK SO-8L package.
