AC/DC full-brick power module features a 91% efficiency
A 700W AC/DC full-brick power module, which provides users with a convenient AC/DC board mounted solution, has been released by TDK-Lambda. Expanding the company’s PFE-SA series of modules, the PFE700SA is 3% more efficient than the PFE700S, launched five years ago. The device is suitable for use in industrial, MIL-COTS, broadcast, datacomms, telecomms, test and measurement and LED display and signage applications.
NEW 2015 will feature more exhibitors than ever before
The NEW (National Electronics Week) exhibition, which is now in its eighth year, will be taking place from 21st to 22nd April at NEC, Birmingham. This venue features an extra 400m of floor space, allowing for more exhibitors than ever before.
UK Intellectual Property Office approves PFC controller
The UK Intellectual Property Office has approved TDK-Lambda UK’s power supply PFC controller patent application. The requirement for industrial power supplies to limit harmonic currents has existed for many years, and in Europe the standard is defined by EN 61000-3-2.
Power inductors offer rated inductance values of 1.0-470μH
Designed for use in automotive electronics, the CLF6045NI-D series of wirewound SMD power inductors has been released by TDK. Operating across a temperature range of 55 to +150 °C, the components offer rated inductance values of 1.0-470μH (E6 series). The power inductors, which measure 6.3x6.0x 4.5mm, are available for rated currents of 0.28- 6.7A and offer DC resistance values ranging from 1.1mΩ to 1.30Ω.
Shanghai to pay host to electronica & productronica
The leading events for the electronics and electronics production industries in Asia, electronicaand productronica China 2015 will run concurrently from 17th to 19th March 2015, in halls E3 - E5, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Together, the tradeshows will cover 57,500 square metres of exhibition space, in which over 900 exhibitors and 56,000 visitors will discuss the latest products and technologies in the electronics industry.
800W power supply has output voltages of 160, 320 or 650VDC
An 800W model has been added to TDK-Lambda's Z+ series of high voltage programmable DC power supplies. Addressing the requirements for applications such as deposition processes, ROVs and ATE systems, as well as general laboratory and industrial use, the higher power model is offered with output voltages of up to 160, 320 or 650VDC (as well as an additional model offering up to 375VDC).
Compact SAW Duplexer With Excellent Isolation In The Transmit And Receive Paths
TDK Corporation presents a new EPCOS duplexer for LTE Band 1, which at 60 dB features very high isolation for both the Tx and Rx paths. Based on SAW technology the B8651 duplexer has a miniature footprint of just 1.8 mm x 1.4 mm.
Snubber Series With More Terminal Configurations And Higher Capacitance Values
TDK Corporation has significantly extended its range of EPCOS snubber film capacitors: A total of 17 different terminal configurations are now available, enabling them to protect an even broader spectrum of IGBT modules against voltage peaks.
Compact high-current chokes for 48-V automotive power systems
TDK Corporation presents the new BCEM series of EPCOS high-current chokes designed specifically for buck-boost converters in 48-V automotive power systems. These innovative SMD inductors have very compact dimensions of only 27.5 mm x 29.5 mm x 14.5 mm thanks to their ERU27 ferrite cores with flat windings. The new chokes feature inductance values of 3 µH to 11 µH and are designed for saturation currents of up to 50 A and operating tem...
CeraLink – a compact solution for converters
TDK Corporation presents a new generation of the EPCOS CeraLink, a highly compact solution for the snubber and DC links of fast-switching converters based on SiC and GaN semiconductors. These new capacitors are based on the ceramic material PLZT (lead lanthanum zirconate titanate). In contrast to conventional ceramic capacitors, CeraLink has its maximum capacitance at the application voltage, and this even increases proportionately to the share o...
