A 30 MHz two-channel digital storage oscilloscope from Tektronix is now being stocked by distributor Conrad Business Supplies. The TBS1032B - exclusively available at Conrad - is aimed at customers in the educational, automotive and industrial sectors who are looking for a low bandwidth solution which delivers excellent value, without compromising on features.
Six in one oscilloscope gets performance upgrade
Improved scope performance and a 6GHz spectrum analyser are the latest upgrades to the TektronixMDO4000C Series of Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes. The instruments can be configured with up to six instruments in a single unit including a full spectrum analyser.
Electronic Component Testing: A Non-Contact Sport
By Kristof Maddelein FLIR Systems As electronic circuit boards and components get smaller and more powerful, inherent heat can cause significant damage. Infrared thermography can identify hot spots, allowing for improved thermal management and greater advances in circuit board design.Electronics don’t like it hot. That’s why electronic systems designers are looking for ways to keep their components cool as the sizes of their devices...
Low-end scopes get upgrade option
“On-customer-site” MSO Upgradeability is being offered by Rigol Technologies for its low end Oscilloscope Series DS1000Z. It will now be possible to start with the low-priced DS1000Z-plus model and upgrade the mixed signal functionality later when this new requirement arises. This offers more flexibility and secures the initial investment of customers.
Catalogue covers pre-owned instrumentation options
Test equipment sourcing specialist Microlease has published an updated catalogue detailing its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) products. Complementing the company’s rental and brand new equipment options, its CPO offering is made up of carefully selected items of equipment, including ex-rental models that have been meticulously maintained throughout their operational lifespan.
Mixed signal scopes augmented by current probes
Two new high-sensitivity current probes are now available for Yokogawa's families of mixed-signal oscilloscopes and ScopeCorders. The 701917, covering a frequency range from DC to 50 MHz, and the 701918, covering DC to 120 MHz, offer sensitivities ten times higher than previous models (typically 1 V/A) along with low noise levels of typically 60 µA RMS.
Software option eases design of MIPI D-PHY interfaces
A new option from Rohde & Schwarz permits R&S RTO oscilloscopes to trigger on DSI- and CSI-2 specific protocol data (display and camera) and to decode the acquired waveforms into readable protocol content. The R&S RTO-K42 software option supports developers during the design, verification and debugging of modules with MIPI D-PHY based interfaces.
High-performance oscilloscopes offer 16-bit vertical resolution
Now available from Link Microtek are the latest Rohde & Schwarz RTO-series high-performance digital oscilloscopes, which offer high-definition signal analysis with a vertical resolution of up to 16 bits, clear and simple touchscreen operation, and the world’s first real-time digital trigger system.
Transmitter test solution targets mobile storage devices
A fully automated physical layer transmitter test solution for the MIPI M-PHY 3.1 specification and Conformance Test Suite (CTS) 3.1 has been released by Tektronix. The solution supports M-PHY High Speed Gears 1, 2 and 3, PWM Mode (G0-G7), and SYS Mode and offers the industry’s lowest noise solution for M-PHY measurements when used with Tektronix DPO70000SX or MSO/DPO70000DX oscilloscopes and P7600 series probes.
Digital storage oscilloscopes balance features/price
Two new professional entry-level products have been added to Conrad Business Supplies’ in-house designed family of DSO-1000D VOLTCRAFTdigital storage oscilloscopes. The DSO-1104D and DSO-1074Dare four channel instruments and are ideally suited for users seeking affordable devices for visualising electrical magnitudes and signals.
