Successful validation of 5G NR cellular sub 6GHz signalling tests has been achieved by Rohde & Schwarz and Qualcomm Technologies. It brings the commercial roll-out of 5G NR one step closer. Sivers IMA has signed a joint development agreement with Ampleon to develop the next generation millimetrewave (mmWave) chips for 5G base stations. Both companies will jointly develop the product and Ampleon will be funding parts of the Sivers IMA development by approximately 3.5m Swedish Kroner (341,000 Euro).
