Sumida’s upgrade to popular power inductor series
New Yorker Electronics has announced its distribution of the new Sumida CDRH12D78E/LD Power Inductor.
World’s first all-electric driving adventure
Nissan has partnered with Scottish adventurer, Chris Ramsey, to undertake the world’s-first all-electric driving adventure from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole.
Analog Devices at Sensor + Test 2022
At Sensor + Test, Editor Mick Elliott interviewed Enda Nicholl, the Marketing Manager for Magnetic Sensors at Analog Devices. They demonstrated for Mick the first multi-turn, position sensor in an automotive display.
Fast-response, reinforced, isolated window comparator with adjustable threshold and latch function
The AMC23C12 is an isolated window comparator with a short response time. The open-drain output is separated from the input circuitry by an isolation barrier that is highly resistant to magnetic interference. This barrier is certified to provide reinforced galvanic isolation of up to 5 kVRMS according to VDE V 0884-11 and UL1577, and supports a working voltage of up to 1 kVPK.
Sensata Adds Predictive Maintenance for Rotary Equipment
Sensata’s new solution actively monitors rotary assets for faults using a multi-modal sensor and AI-driven analysis capabilities from Nanoprecise through the Sensata IQ platform.
Magnetic excitations for information transfer without heat loss
Just as electrons flow through an electrical conductor, magnetic excitations can travel through certain materials.Such excitations, known in physics as 'magnons' in analogy to the electron, could transport information much more easily than electrical conductors.
Awards of the PCIM Europe Conference 2022 announced
The annual award ceremony at the PCIM Europe Conference has traditionally been honouring outstanding contributions and promoting young talents in the power electronics industry since 2008.
NYE adds new Vishay miniature position sensor to lineup
NYE (New Yorker Electronics) has announced Vishay Intertechnology’s release of the new miniature position sensor with a small 12.7mm outer diameter. According to Vishay, the sensor delivers higher accuracy and resolution than similar devices of the same size, while offering increased reliability and durability for harsh military and industrial operating environments.
ADI lines up tranche of solutions at Sensor + Test
Analog Devices (ADI) will show how it delivers sensor solutions in applications ranging from electric vehicle and traction to industrial automation and robotics at Sensor + Test in Nuremberg (May 10-12).
A new age of 2.5D materials
Scientists are exploring new ways to artificially stack two-dimensional (2D) materials, introducing so-called 2.5D materials with unique physical properties.
