Wilson Process Systems (WPS), the leading contract manufacturer, will position itself as the high volume, accurate and flexible EMS provider for customers with large array LED boards targeting signage and lighting applications.
Space-saving RJ45 jack with LEDs and protection against mis-mating
The 12-pin, low-profile, in-board RJ45 jacks from SUYIN’s 100073FR012S173ZL (halogenated) and 100073HR012S173ZL (optionally free of halogen) series offer several special features. At 18.05 x 20.25 x 11.45 (L x B x H in mm, overall) they already feature particularly compact dimensions in the standard version. However, thanks to a design trick, they are able to save even more space, because they can be installed on the board in an offset manner.
Axiomtek’s iCON-101 Series of Industrial Converters Give You An Excellent Instant CAN Connectivity
Axiomtek presents iCON-101CS CAN to RS-232/422/485 converter and iCON-101CU CAN to USB converter to provide a fast, simple way to connect CAN devices to PC or programmable devices with USB or RS-232/422/485 interface. The iCON-101CS and iCON-101CU use a 9-pin male D-Sub (DB9) connector to interface to CAN. The CAN port is isolated with 3KV isolation and the maximum CAN data rate is 1Mbps. Front-facing LEDs give a friendly visual indication of the...
High-Power LED Driver from ERG powers HBLED Backlights
LCD backlight power specialist Endicott Research Group (ERG) has introduced a new LED driver that can simultaneously and efficiently power up to 8 strings of high brightness LEDs (HBLEDs). The new Smart Force SFD2C Series is a full-function LED driver board that features a dual output that provides a total maximum current of 1200 mA -- 600 mA per side -- for high efficiency power to LED backlights used in LCDs up to 24” diagonal.
OSRAM LEDs specified in new 3M Micro Projector
3M is including OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ LEDs in its new micro projectors, which can be connected to mobile phones and cameras. The small, bright, energy-saving diodes are the key to developing micro projectors, which could not be implemented with other light sources. OSRAM’s LEDs make micro-projection display sizes of more than a meter possible.
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors launches video training series for LED, Solid State Lighting standardization and regulations
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has launched a new web initiative dedicated to providing information and resources for LED, solid state lighting standardization and regulation on its’ new LED Light Site, ledlight.osram-os.com.
Opening ceremony at Asia’s First LED Chip Production Plant
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors today held an opening ceremony for its 35,000 square meter new LED wafer fabrication plant in Penang, Malaysia. It is the company’s first ever LED chip plant in Asia and currently the most modern facility in the world. The plant will produce chips for light emitting diodes, the light source of the future. Y.B. Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, the Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, Y.A.B. Tuan Lim Gua...
OSRAM - Compact LEDs for daytime running lights in mid-range vehicles
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has introduced the OSLON MX ECE and OSLON SX ECE LEDs – new, low-cost, high-power ceramic components designed for use in daytime running lights in the front light clusters of mid-range vehicles. These new LEDs represent a key new addition to OSRAM’s extensive automotive lighting portfolio, which consists of millions of LEDs currently in use in rear light clusters, brake lights and daytime running lights in vehicles o...
OSRAM LEDs homing in on office projectors
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors has developed a pre-production green LED based on the OSTAR platform that is twice as bright as its predecessors and has a luminous surface that is perfectly uniform. This single-chip LED benefits from the latest chip technology and a green phosphor converter. Initial samples are already available, and OSRAM is currently working with partners to develop appropriate LED data projectors such as those used in the office and...
Infrared OSLON LED provides compact illumination for CMOS and CCD cameras
The new IR OSLON SFH 4715S from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is the smallest infrared LED on the market with more than one watt of optical power. Measuring only 3.75 x 3.75 mm², it enables the development of exceptionally compact illumination units for CMOS and CCD cameras. This record-breaking high performance in such a compact device is possible thanks to OSRAM’s nanostack chip technology combined with a temperature-stable OSLON Black Series pa...
