With the competition being exceptionally tough this year, The Manufacturer has revealed the shortlisted businesses for its prestigious The Manufacturer MX Awards (TMMX Awards). A 23% increase in the number of entries compared to last year’s programme sees entrants now undergo the most rigorous judging process of any industry awards in the UK.
IMechE prepares for student UAS Challenge 2016
The best young engineers in the UK will design and build a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System), also known as a drone, as part of the annual competition run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. A UAS is an aircraft without a human pilot on-board. They are predominantly known for their use in military and special operations, such as delivering humanitarian aid.
Former F1 Chief Engineer appointed IMechE President
Jon Hilton CEng FIMechE from Northamptonshire has become the 131st President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
