Intersil releases samples of 10A, highly integrated power module
Intersil Corporation has announced the development of the ISL8201M, a highly integrated Power Conversion Module that saves space and cost. The ISL8201M is a high efficiency, low noise, highly integrated DC/DC power solution in a thermally enhanced QFN package. Included in the package are the PWM controller, MOSFET drivers, power MOSFETs and inductor along with an optimized compensation circuit.
Video drivers from Intersil
Intersil has introduced two 200MHz single supply video drivers, the ISL59833 and ISL59837, each equipped with charge pumps that create negative voltage and remove the need for external negative rails.
Buck controllers are said to deliver industry’s fastest transient response and highest system accuracy
Intersil has introduced a family of four-phase synchronous pulse width modulation buck controllers that are said to deliver the industry’s highest performance/price ratio for four-phase CPU core regulators. Intel VR10/11 and AMD AM2 CPU core solutions using these advanced controllers meet specs with substantially fewer bulk output capacitors than competitive offerings. The devices provide the industry’s most integrated and cost-efficient co...
Single-phase PWM controller from Intersil
Intersil has announced the ISL8107, a single phase, non-synchronous buck controller that provides maximum efficiency and flexibility for telecommunications and industrial designs. The ISL8107 features an ultra-wide operating input voltage range of 9V to 75V, with an internal 1.192V reference voltage tolerance of ±1% over industrial temperature ranges. It integrates a high-side N-Channel MOSFET driver, which can be used to drive a MOSFET that is...
Avago Technologies - High Performance Broad Band InGaP HBT Gain Blocks
Avago Technologies announced two new economical, easy to use general purpose InGaP Hetero-Junction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) MMIC gain block amplifiers for use in a variety of wireless applications. Avago’s AVT-51663/53663 gain blocks, which operate within the DC to 6000MHz frequency band, can be used as either a broadband gain block or driver amplifier. These gain blocks target designers of cellular infrastructure applications, but can be a...

Avago’s AVT-51663/53663 gain blocks, which operate within the DC to 6000MHz frequency band, can be used as either a broadband gain b...
AnalogicTech Introduces Powerful, High-Efficiency Multi-String Backlight
Advanced Analogic Technologies, Inc. today introduced its AAT1409/7/5 family of multi-string LED backlight drivers. Offering integrated boost converters and precision current sinks that can support up to 88 LEDs at 360mA total LED current, the AAT1409/7/5 drivers are among the most powerful in the marketplace. These new drivers bring to market a fully featured solution that reduces the number of backlight PCBs, reducing costs, yet is capable of d...
High efficiency boost converters for large panel WLED applications from AnalogicTech
In large-panel lighting applications, uniform illumination using multiple strings of series-connected WLEDs is a very difficult design objective to meet. Many existing solutions rely on PWM techniques that, using a modulating DC input voltage, produce substantial flicker. With AnalogicTech’s AAT1235 and AAT1236, designers can now employ a single boost converter with a digital interface to run five 20mA strings of up to four series-connected W...
2 amp step-down converter meets portable systems rising power needs
Whether building new Portable Navigation Devices (PNDs), Portable Media Players (PMPs) or high-end handsets, today’s system designers must constantly add new features and functions that require higher levels of processing power and more current. By delivering up to 2A at high efficiency in a small solution, AnalogicTech’s AAT1153 step-down converter serves as a key building block in the continual evolution of higher performance yet compact h...
PMICs from AnalogicTech extend battery life
By combining two buck converters with a low input voltage used to post-regulate the second buck converter, AnalogicTech’s AAT2782 and AAT2783 are said to extend battery life and reduce board footprint by powering both standard and the lower voltage noise sensitive circuits while maintaining high power efficiency.
