Rectifiers save space, improve thermal performance
There are 13 200V and 600V FRED Pt Ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the eSMP series SlimDPAK (TO-252AE) package launched by Vishay Intertechnology. Each are available in Automotive Grade and commercial / industrial versions. Offering lower profiles and better thermal performance than devices in the DPAK (TO-252AA), the Vishay Semiconductors rectifiers deliver high power density and efficiency for automotive and telecom applications.
PROFINET support boosts measurement amplifier capabilities
PROFINET support, Factory Mutual (FM) approvals, and French and German language accessibility for its G5 Series measurement amplifiers have been announced by the BLH Nobel brand of Vishay Precision. The PROFINET support module for the BLH Nobel G5 Series allows the modern, user-friendly measurement amplifiers the necessary flexibility to keep pace with the very latest Industrial Ethernet automation standards in Asia and Europe.
TTI snaps up South Korean distributor
TTI has acquired CHANGNAM, a South Korean semiconductor distributor. Founded in 1992, privately-held CHANGNAM is principally focused on the automotive, consumer electronics, industrial and wireless end markets, and in addition to a technical sales and marketing team, has hardware and software engineers that actively work with end customer product design teams.
MLCCs meet extreme automotive operating temperatures
The operating temperature range of Vishay Intertechnology’s HOTcap K…H series of Automotive Grade, radial-leaded multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) has been extended to +200°C. The Vishay BCcomponents leaded MLCCs are now approved for operation over a temperature range of -55°C to +200°C for 500 hours, and they provide unlimited operation to +175°C.
PIN photodiodes enable slim sensor designs
To meet the need for reliable signal detection in wearable devices and medical and industrial applications, Vishay Intertechnology has broadened its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of two high speed silicon PIN photodiodes that deliver enhanced sensitivity for visible light.
Battery shunt resistors improve accuracy, cut costs
The WSBS8518...M3 and WSBS8518...M4 36W Power Metal Strip battery shunt resistors featuring M3 and M4 tapped holes, respectively have been freleased by Vishay Intertechnology. With extremely low resistance values down to 50µΩ in the 8518 case size, the Vishay Dale devices increase accuracy and lower costs compared with Hall Effect current sensing solutions.
SPDT analogue switch arrives in compact package
A single SPDT analogue switch is Vishay Intertechnology’s first device in the ultra- compact μDFN6 package. Ideal for analogue and digital signal switching in portable consumer and medical devices, the Vishay Siliconix DG3257 achieves low resistance of 5Ω at 4.2V while delivering improved high bandwidth, reduced parasitic capacitance, and a power-down protection feature.
Wet tantalum capacitors boast ultra-high capacitance range
High-energy EP1 series wet tantalum capacitors from Vishay are now in stock in Europe at TTI. Built on Vishay’s proven SuperTan technology, the products feature an ultra high capacitance range from 2,000µF to 30,00 µF and voltage ratings from 25VDC to 125VDC in the A case code.
Synchronous buck regulators deliver high efficiency
The microBUCK family of synchronous buck regulators from Vishay Intertechnology has been expanded with 2A to 10A devices featuring a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V. Combining high performance n-channel trench MOSFETs with a controller in the compact MLP55-27L package, space-saving Vishay Siliconix SiC46X devices deliver high efficiency and power density while improving long term reliability and simplifying thermal management.
Thick film chip resistors feature power to 1.5W
A series of thick film chip resistors for automotive and industrial applications have been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. The Vishay Draloric RCA-HP e3 series devices combine advanced sulphur resistance, excellent pulse load performance, and high power ratings in a single device.
