RF, mm-wave & MMIC products showcased at IMS2015
Microsemi will showcase 13 products from its RF, microwave and mm-wave ICs, modules, MMICs and subsystem portfolio at the 2015 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS2015) and Exhibition, to be held at the Phoenix Convention Centre, Arizona, 17thto 22ndMay 2015. Spanning DC to 140GHz, the devices suit defence, communications, instrumentation, industrial and aerospace applications.
Relay features an insulation resistance of 100MΩ at 500VDC
Featuring a coil-to-contact dielectric strength of 4000Vrms, the J115F1 relay has been released by CIT Relay & Switch. The contact arrangement is 1A SPST N.O., 1B SPST N.C., and 1C SPDT with contact ratings of 40A at 240VAC and 14VDC at 250VAC. The contact material is AgSnO2 or AgCdO, while the contact resistance is less than 30mΩ.
DTS Miniature Data Recorder Eliminates Need for Slip Rings and Telemetry for Rotating Applications
For anyone challenged with collecting data on rotating components like drive shafts, rotors, reciprocating rods or even track vehicle treads - there is now a solution from California-based DTS that eliminates the need for slip rings and telemetry.
Racks address increasing compactness of devices
At Embedded World 2015, HEITEC presented its latest packaging and system solutions as well as design services for embedded solutions themedFit for Embedded 4.0. The company has expanded its comprehensive housing portfolio with CompactPCI Serial platforms that provide answers to many design requirements.
Energy harvesting RF switches suit easy integration
At Southern Manufacturing 2015, on Stand J115, CHERRY has announced that it will show the receiver module used in its energy harvesting wireless switches. The receiver will be available as an RF stamp in the shape of a mini PCB (22x26x4mm), for integration into an existing control system. The module will also be available as an independently housed receiver with connectivity options and its own power supply.
Integration boosts performance & functionality, not power
How to boost performance and add functionality to portable medical devices without affecting the power budget. By Franco Contadini, Principal Field Applications Engineer, Maxim Integrated.
Resistor & relay cards feature a 0.25-2Ω resolution
PCI and PXI programmable resistor and relay cards, which feature 12 resistor channel options, a resolution of 0.25-2Ω and channel counts of either two or four, have been released by Pickering Interfaces. To extend the resistance range within a test system, the 50-294 PCI card and the 40-294 PXI card are optionally available with eight SPST relays.
Switches' 0.01μW power consumption suits wearables
Claimed to be the smallest such devices in the industry, three 200Ω precision monolithic quad SPST analogue switches have been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. The DG2501, DG2502 and DG2503 are supplied in the ultra-compact 4x4 bump array WCSP to save space in wearable electronics and sensors, as well as consumer and communication devices.
