30A to 45A PowerBridge Rectifier Series with 600-V to 1000-V VRRM and 1500-V Dielectric Strength
Vishay introduces a new series of enhanced high-current-density PowerBridge rectifiers with current ratings of 30 A to 45 A, maximum peak reverse voltage ratings of 600 V to 1000 V, and a high case dielectric strength of 1500 V. The series’ 45-A devices are the industry’s first single in-line bridge rectifiers in the PowerBridge package, which features a body size of 30 mm by 20 mm with a 3.8-mm profile.
Vishay’s Low-Profile Rectifiers Feature ESD Protection to 25 kV and Voltage Range of 100 V to 600 V in MicroSMP Package with 0.65-mm Height
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today released a series of low-profile surface-mount rectifiers with ESD protection to 25 kV. The new MSE1Px devices are offered in an eSMP series MicroSMP package with footprint dimensions of just 2.5 mm by 1.3 mm with a height profile of 0.65 mm. In addition to their ESD capabilities, the new devices feature a rugged maximum junction temperature of 175 °C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1.
Super Barrier Rectifiers from Diodes Incorporated raise reliability in automotive applications
Diodes Incorporated has announced the first devices in a family of Super Barrier Rectifiers (SBR) designed for automotive applications. With a lower forward voltage drop, improved avalanche rating and higher safe operating area (SOA) than alternative Schottky or ultra-fast diode alternatives, these rugged rectifiers enable automotive designers to increase the reliability of motor control, display panel and LED lighting circuits.
NXP launches TVS diodes and claims highest surge capability in FlatPower package
NXP Semiconductors has announced a range of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes housed in its new FlatPower package, SOD123W. Offering a 400 W peak pulse power rating (10/1000µs), the new diodes dissipate app. 67 W/mm2 surge per PCB area. This is more than twice the surge capability on offer in the market by TVS products in similar packages. Such high surge capabilities over smaller areas will enable engineers to save space on the PCB whil...
