Automotive LEDs feature Luminous Intensity to 1400mcd
Two series of surface-mount Automotive Grade power LEDs in PLCC-2 and ultra-compact MiniLED packages have been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. Utilising the latest advanced AllnGaP technology in the smallest chip size available, the Vishay Semiconductors VLMx335xx and VLMx235xx series deliver high brightness and maximum drive current up to 50mA for automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.
Sensor demo boards cover ambient-light applications
The latest Vishay SensorXplorer kit and 10 compatible sensor demo boards for ambient-light, proximity and bio-sensing applications are available at RS Components (RS). The associated sensors, available from RS in small packs for prototyping or tape-and-reel for production, meet project needs from proof of concept to volume assembly.
Inductor features low DCR in 4040 case
The first device in the IHSR series of high temperature commercial inductors from Vishay Dale is in stock at New Yorker Electronics. Designed for multi-phase, high current power supplies and filters in computer, industrial and telecom applications, the IHSR-4040DZ-51 offers a 50% reduction in DCR over typical power inductors.
Optocoupler enables 30% saving on PCB real estate
The first AEC-Q101 qualified, phototransistor optocoupler introduced by Vishay is now available at TTI. This newly-launched device, the VOMA617A, combines a high current transfer ratio (CTR) of 50% to 600% with low 5mA forward current. Supplied in a compact SOP-4 package, the new device offers the major advantage of a 30% saving on PCB real-estate when compared to a DIP-4 package.
Rectifiers increase power density and efficiency
FRED Pt rectifiers from Vishay which are available from Rutronik UK, significantly increase power density, performance efficiency and device reliability. The rectifiers come in a thermally efficient FlatPAK 5x6 package with low profile of < 1 mm and are available in commercial/industrial and automotive grade versions with either 2x3A or 2x4A forward current for each type.
Complete package for initial tests and test series
LASER COMPONENTS has announced a plug & play solution for quick and replicable tests and test series for several LEDs in the ultraviolet spectrum. The AMPYR Evaluation Kit LED30UV contains an LED carrier with a heat sink, an AMPYR LED30W LED driver with an integrated heat sink, a plug-in power supply unit, and a six-pole cable for connecting the driver and carrier unit.
Buck regulators supplies high continuous current at 2MHz
The SiC46X from Vishay is a family of wide input voltage high efficiency synchronous buck regulators with integrated high side and low side power MOSFETs. Its power stage is capable of supplying high continuous current at 2MHz switching frequency. The regulators are available from Rutronik.
Tackling discontinuation problems in the components industry
To help engineers and buyers in the electronic components industry with End-of-Life (EoL) issues and getting around long lead times for current products, BEC Distribution has announced the availability of direct alternatives to TOKO/Murata, Coilcraft, Vishay and Sumida lines, with short lead times of 6-8 weeks, where most manufacturers are reportedly currently working on 16-30 weeks.
Website simplifies hi-rel component selection
Specialist distributor Charcroft Electronics has launched a website at www.charcroft.com which enables buyers and engineers to simplify the selection of rugged and high-reliability components for use in specific applications: military & defence, space, oil & gas, rail & transportation, industrial, specialist automotive, audio and instrumentation.
Inductor delivers up to 250A continuous current rating
A Very High-Current Through-Hole Inductor - the Vishay Dale IHXL-2000VZ-5A – is available from New Yorker Electronics. The Vishay IHXL technology combines the metal composite construction of a pressed metal powder with an insulating binder which allows for high saturation magnetisation and high field strength – so it handles high transient current spikes without saturation.
