New miniature milling cutters for small hole operations
It’s well documented that producing features such as small threads and chamfers in small holes using a machining centre or milling machine is far from straightforward due to the size of cutter, the neck/reach required and the associated issues of productivity and accuracy. However, because of ongoing demand for improved solutions, these problems can now be addressed using Sandvik Coromant’s new CoroMill® 326 miniature milling cutter.
New high-performance lubricant improves service life of roller and conveyor chains
iwis has developed a new lubricant for roller and conveyor chains. Sold under the Elidur brand, the high-performance lubricant was developed especially for Elite chains to replace the current initial lubrication of all standard roller chains up to 32B or ANSI160. Manufacturer’s tests have shown that the optimised blend of wear additives improves the service life of Elite roller and conveyor chains by up to 250 percent.
Next generation flexible anaerobic gasket from ThreeBond
Market leaders ThreeBond recently announced the general release of their unique TB1133E next generation anaerobic gasket. Building on the acknowledged benefit of anaerobics to be dispensed and then permit component placement at leisure, TB1133E offers enhanced vibration tolerance and user-friendly characteristics. This enables greater confidence in established applications such as gearboxes and cam covers, while opening up uses in sealing of comp...
NEW ABRASIVE DEBURRING TOOLS FOR MORE AGGRESSIVE MACHINING
A new range of high-precision, abrasive deburring brushes made from heavy duty aluminium oxide (alumina) fibres has been introduced for use on static platforms such as machining centres, mills, drilling machines and special-purpose machine tools, but are equally suitable for mounting on industrial robots. Versions are also available for hand-held power tools.
Champion Of Refined Efficiency
The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class sets a new benchmark in the SUV world. Its enhanced fuel consumption and emission figures are especially impressive. Across the range, fuel consumption is improved by an average of 25 per cent over the previous model. Particularly noteworthy in this respect is the ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, which has an NEDC consumption of 47.0 mpg (158 g CO2/km). Yet for all this efficiency, the M-Class retains its c...
