Oslon Square from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors makes even better use of light
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors new LED, the Oslon Square, opens up a wide range of possible uses, including designer luminaires for the home or office, retrofits and street lights. The LED is available in many different versions with different color temperatures. It can be operated with different currents, making it extremely versatile. Its reflective package makes even better use of the light and increases system efficiency in all versions.
New 70W LED Driver powers multi-chip arrays
It is an acknowledged trend that LED lighting is moving to higher power and this realized by either connecting LEDs in arrays or by wiring many LEDs in series. The required LED voltage grows proportionally to the number of LEDs in the chain or array.
LEDil announces availability of STRADA-F series lenses
LEDiL expands its popular precision-engineered STRADA Series to include the new STRADA-F Series lens family; asymmetrical lenses that direct high-quality, low-power LED light in a forward pattern. Lighting designers no longer have to tilt the PCB or fixture to achieve proper light distribution, because STRADA-F Series lenses project light forward to create efficient lighting solutions from wide streets to odd-shaped parking lots.
Analog Devices Named Industry Leader at Prestigious Elektra Awards
Analog Devices, Inc. has won the Solid-State Lighting Application Award at the 2011 Elektra Awards. The award-winning innovation was ADI’s ADP8866 programmable LED driver, which claimed the top spot over competition including entries from Intersil, Marl International and NXP Semiconductors. ADI was also shortlisted for the Embedded System Product and Engineers of the Future awards.
Toshiba announces two new highly-integrated LED drivers
Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. has announced two new products in its line of led driver LED drivers, the TB62D701 and the TB62771. The TB62D701 is a high-power eight-channel LED driver and the TB62771 is a four-channel device; both are for use in lighting applications such as LCD TVs and monitor backlights, area lighting, signage and traffic signals.
