High efficiency boost converters for large panel WLED applications from AnalogicTech
In large-panel lighting applications, uniform illumination using multiple strings of series-connected WLEDs is a very difficult design objective to meet. Many existing solutions rely on PWM techniques that, using a modulating DC input voltage, produce substantial flicker. With AnalogicTech’s AAT1235 and AAT1236, designers can now employ a single boost converter with a digital interface to run five 20mA strings of up to four series-connected W...

532nm high visibility green laser modules
Photonic Products has introduced two new 532nm DPSS high visibility green laser modules from SANYO; the DLX-9356-13 (532nm, 5mW) and the DLX-9456-02 (532nm, 10mW). The modules, measuring just 20mm diameter by 50.5mm, have integral thermo electric control that enables stable operation over a wide range of temperature levels between -10 degrees Centigrade to + 50 degrees Centigrade.
SANYO Laser Diode Catalogue Available As Free Download
Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist has announced that the new SANYO Laser Diode Catalogue for 2008 has just been released and is available as a free download from Photonic Products’ website (www.photonic-products.com).
Blue-Violet Laser Diodes give up to 85mW optical output power
Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, has announced that Sanyo’s tiny blue-violet laser diodes are now available in industrial strength and power: three new 405nm laser diodes which offer 20mW, 45mW or a massive 85mW optical output power, the highest power available in a single mode laser diode with an internal monitor photodiode.
635nm Red Laser Diodes use less Power
Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, has announced the introduction of two new 635nm, 5mW laser diodes from Opnext, Inc. The operating current on these diodes has been decreased by 50 percent, resulting in extended battery lifetime and lower power consumption without compromising their 5mW optical output power. Their aspect ratio is also improved from 3.8 to 3.1.
