Transformer range from SSS covers 0.08 to 16VA with low noise
A new range of laminated transformers have been added to the growing range of power management components from Solid State Supplies. Covering 0.08 to 16VA and with low audible noise owing to their potted construction, the Pulse / ERA 50-60Hz encapsulated mains transformer range includes mini-line EE20, print-line EI30 - EI54, low profile UI30 - Ui39, mountable EI42 - EI64, compact power supplies and ignition transformers.
Small standard voice coil motor from Geeplus uses new materials for better power and more stability
Measuring just 16mm in diameter, 14mm in length and developing 0.55N of force, Geeplus International have launched what they claim to be the world’s smallest standard Voice Coil Motor. Reduction in size often means a reduction in internal component dimensions which can lead to operational faults, but the VCM1614 benefits from a Geeplus designed bearing which not only keeps dimensions down, but also provides better and more reliable guidance of ...
Murata Introduces World's First Ultra-Thin Waterproof Piezoelectric Speaker
Featuring a thickness of only 0.9mm, Murata has launched the world's first ultra-thin waterproof piezoelectric speaker. Based on Murata's proprietary piezoelectric technology, the speaker is waterproof to IPX5/IPX7. The speaker measures 19.5 by 14.1 by 0.9mm; its rectangular shape reduces dead-space from designs while its ultra-thin dimensions contribute to greater freedom in equipment design.
Small Chokes in Production Volumes
Murata announces production volumr of its LQM18F series of multilayer devices.
Murata pattern recognition sensors for ATMs etc
Murata has released four new products in its BS05 series of magnetic pattern recognition sensors. The BS05M1HFAL, BS05M1KFCA, BS05M1KFFA and BS05M1KFBB magneto-resistive sensors are designed for ATMs, banknote counters, detectors and other validator applications. The devices are suitable for detection of magnetic thread or magnetic ink, and enable simple and quick mounting. These parts retain around 70% of their output voltage at a 0.1mm gap bet...
2U-HIGH DUAL BUS DISTRIBUTION PANELS CAN PROTECT UP TO 18 DC CIRCUITS
UNIPOWER Telecom’s latest dual bus circuit breaker panel, the DPB2U-AB, provides distribution and overload protection for up to 18 DC circuits and will be of great interest to designers putting sizeable telecomm systems together.
Compact Third Generation Ethernet Module Features Integral CPU and Four Serial Ports
Focus EDL, the leading distributor of components for industrial computing and automation, announces the TiBBO EM1202 basic programmable Ethernet module that will interest designers and systems integrators looking to introduce or expand Ethernet networks in industrial applications.
Analog Devices’ Signal Processing Technology Helps CERN’s Large Hadron Collider Achieve Highest Possible Superconducting Magnet Performance
The European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland and the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy, have collaborated on the design of an advanced instrument for measuring magnetic fields in CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) superconducting magnets. Called the Fast Digital Integrator (FDI) board, this measurement device uses Analog Devices’ A/D converters, analogue multiplexers and DSP components to provide the LHC with the...
