Omron strengthens European sensor engineering team
Omron Electronics Components Business - Europe has strengthened the sensor field applications engineering team in Munich by making two new appointments. Omron has brought Masashige Fukumoto to Munich from the factory in Kurayoshi, Japan, to offer his design insights to European customers, and to assist in the development of customised solutions to address local applications. At the same time, it has appointed Andreas Barth, a touch sensor expert ...
OMRON and Renesas to Jointly Develop Touch Sensor Solutions
OMRON and Renesas Technology have reached an agreement to jointly develop capacitive touch sensor solutions, a field that is attracting a great deal of interest as a next-generation man-machine interface. Based on this agreement, Renesas will integrate OMRON’s touch sensor technology into its R8C Family 16-bit microcontroller products and supply touch sensor solutions for a wide range of fields, including household appliances and mobile devices...
Rutronik awarded European Distributor of the Year 2010/2011 for Omron Electronic Components.
Omron Electronic Components has presented Rutronikwith a special European distributor award for the 2010/2011 year. The award has been given to Rutronik for unprecedented business growth during the last 12 months. 2010 was the first full year that Rutronik have held the Omron franchise in all European regions. During this time Rutronik sales of Omron switches, connectors, sensors and relays have grown faster than any other distributor in Omron&rs...
Intelligent Lighting Controller Measures Ambient Light and Tracks Time
By: Philip Simpson, Applications Director Marko Kannisto, Field Applications Engineer Abstract: This reference design explains how to design an intelligent lighting controller that senses and measures the ambient light level with an ambient light sensor (ALS). Equipped with a real-time clock (RTC), the controller also knows when to turn lighting on or off at specified times. The system presented in this document can be used to control all lum...
Omron customises MEMS mass flow sensor range
Omron Electronic Components Business – Europe is now offering to customise its D6F MEMS mass flow sensor products to suit individual customer requirements in terms of flow rate and non-corrosive gas type. The new customised sensor service is being presented at Sensor and Test in Nuremberg in May 2008. Omron can provide mass flow sensors suitable to measure any flow rate from 1 mm/s to 40 m/s or 1 LPM to 50 LPM of most non-corrosive gasses.
Mouser Electronics Releases First 2008 Quarterly New Product Catalogue
Mouser Electronics, Inc., has announced the first of four quarterly new product catalogs. Catalog 633 (February – May) features 2,112 pages of the newest products and technologies from over 335 premiere electronic component suppliers. Engineered as a reference guide for engineers, Catalog 633 contains 151 pages of new products while 23 pages of not-for-new-design products were deleted, thus ensuring design engineers access to the latest, mo...
We Speak Your Language
The Orbitform Group uses an extensive list of processor languages, the ones our customers prefer. Once a company is set up with a particular language it can be difficult to switch, especially when the learning curve is steep. Our engineers design and build your equipment with the products you're familiar with and the language you like.
DeviceNet Expansion Module for JVL´s integrated MAC motors
JVL has developed a new module for the MAC50-141 and MAC800 series of integrated servo motors that enables the MAC motors to be used on Devicenet. The AC-servo motor, encoder, amplifier, positional controller and Devicenet are all built into the motor. The only connections required are a supply voltage and the Devicenet cables. The device type is a ”Position controller”, which is a standard method for controlling position when motion control ...
Rockwell DF1 serial protocol support added to the Anybus® CommunicatorTM serial gateway family
HMS has added support for DF1 communication into the entire range of Anybus Communicator gateways. Thanks to this implementation, users can benefit from a simple and straight-forward way of connecting industrial devices which support DF1 to all major industrial fieldbus and industrial Ethernet networks used in today´s automation systems. Devices include e.g. Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, MicroLogix among others. Supporting conversion fr...
