Highest accuracy with the 80µm-class for magnetic measuring
The German specialist for magnetic measuring BOGEN Electronic from Berlin conquers a big deficit of magnetic measuring: the mean accuracy. The X-class-encoders from BOGEN are based upon a pole pitch of 80µm. The measuring heads X-IKS9 and X-IKS15 read the pole pitch in a reading distance up to 240µm and reach an accuracy of 5µm and better.
CPU unit enables full CNC production line integration
The C80 CNC CPU unit mounts alongside an iQ-R series PLC’s existing modules, allowing nanometre scale control over machine tool functions. When applied as part of an iQ-R Platform it contributes toward integrated control over an entire manufacturing production line.
New access points for wireless network at SPS
At SPS IPC Drives, the steute business unit ‘Wireless’ will be presenting the second generation of access points for its wireless network sWave.NET.The task of these new key components within the industry-compatible wireless system has not changed: they bundle signals from wireless switchgear and pass them on to the customer IT infrastructure via WiFi or Ethernet.
Efficient production at any batch size
B&R presented the SuperTrak industrial transport system at the SPS IPC Drives trade fair. Other highlights included a multitude of mapp components and connected manufacturing solutions based on OPC UA communication.
Connector incorporates special spring terminal for connectivity
A leader in connectivity and sensors, TE Connectivity (TE), unveiled the K-type thermocouple connector at SPS IPC Drives. It incorporates a special spring terminal concept that ensures superior connectivity compared with the traditional screw type termination.
Expanding portfolio now includes medical drill chucks
Expanding its portfolio, Leader Chuck Systems, has added a range of keyed, keyless and hybrid industrial and medical drill chucks from Llambrich.
Industry 4.0 takes centre stage
This week’s SPS IPC Drives Expo 2016 in Nuremburg has seen Mitsubishi Electric showcase a portfolio of integrated automation components and services developed to help customers realise their individual business objectives.
EVK acts as a shield for easier stepper motor driver designs
At SPS in Nuremberg from November 22nd-24th2016, ROHM Semiconductor presents its Arduino-based Evaluation Kit (EVK) to support the evaluation of its motor driver devices as well as to enable, facilitate and accelerate customers’ developments (Hall 1 - Booth 320).
Current-shunt monitor improves efficiency and accuracy
Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced a current-sense amplifier for in-line motor phase current measurement that improves overall motor efficiency, compared to existing current-sense amplifiers. The INA240 offers enhanced Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) rejection for systems running at up to 80V to support a variety of applications such as motor control, solenoid control and power delivery systems.
64-bit memory architecture for real-time operating system
Consolidation solutions for multicore PCs fromTenAsys have been extended with full access to available system memory and programming language support. Version 6.2 of the INtime real-time operating system enables memory extension technology providing each process access to 4GB of physical memory, regardless of the number of processes and cores used on any given system.
