3W AC/DC converters suit specialist applications
UK power conversion specialist PowerPax has recently extended its range of 3W AC/DC module power supplies with the addition of the Ultra-wide input LS03-16BxxSS and LD03-16Bxx series products from power conversion manufacturer Mornsun. This range features an ultra-wide input range of 90 – 528V AC (47-63Hz) and can accept a DC input of 100 – 745V DC on the same terminals.
Low-power AC/DC converters squeeze into small spaces
The latest low-power, energy-efficient AC/DC converters from Dengrove Electronic Components are small enough to fit inside existing cavities such as inside switch housings or behind cover plates, making them ideal for smart-building or IoT applications. Produced by RECOM, the 2-Watt and 3-Watt RAC02-SE/277 and RAC03-SE/277 are housed in a compact 34mm x 22mm package only 11mm high.
POL DC/DC converter delivers 20A from 5 & 12V bus voltages
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iBH series of 80W, 20A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC/DC converters, featuring a wide 0.7V to 5.5V output adjustment range. The iBH converters can operate from either 5V or 12Vdc bus voltages, having a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 14V, reducing inventory carrying costs by stocking just one part number.
Predicting the future of advanced solar cells
In a photovoltaic cell, light generates opposite charges in the active layer. The charges must then be separated as quickly as possible to keep them from recombining. Positive charges are driven by a built-in electric field to one metallic contact, while negative charges migrate in the opposite direction to another electrode. Using a unique ultra-fast spectroscopic technique, EPFL scientists have now been able to track the fate of charged pairs i...
DC converters available in 10W, 15W and 40W models
UK power conversion specialist PowerPax has recently extended its specialist DC converter range with the addition of the PVxx-29Bxx series of Isolated, Ultra-wide input products from Mornsun. This series of products feature an input range of 200 – 1500V DC with 400V AC input to output isolation. They are available in 10W, 15W and 40W models with single, regulated, outputs of 5V, 12V, 15V and 24V.
VHF/UHF RF bidirectional amplifier designed for electronic warfare
NuWaves Engineering, an international Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave solutions provider, announced the Internal Research and Design (IRaD) effort for a miniaturised VHF/UHF RF Bidirectional Amplifier (BDA).The NuPower Xtender model 16A06A will feature high linearity performance and small size, at an affordable price point.
AC/DC modules suited to medical applications
UK power conversion specialist PowerPax has extended its offering of PCB Mounting AC/DC module power supplies with the addition of the 5W, medically approved, LD05-20BxxMU series from Mornsun. The series features single outputs of 5V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC with output voltage accuracy of ±2% typical, line regulation of ±0.5% typical and ripple & noise of 100mV peak to peak max (20Mhz Bandwidth).
1A DC/DC buck converters offer efficient light-load operation
Driving loads up to 1A, the AP3401 and AP3428 DC/DC step-down converters from Diodes Incorporated provide excellent line- and load-regulation provided by a constant-frequency PWM control that requires no external compensation and so minimises component count and material costs.
Compact current-compensated chokes are EMC correcting
Schaffner is expanding the already successful range of current compensated EMC correcting chokes.Horizontal and vertical mounting options are available with additional inductance values for currents between 0.3-10A.The new RN series is now rated up to 300VAC and the extended product range enables electronic design engineers to optimise their EMC/EMI solutions for performance and PCB layout.
14-bit, 125MHz DAC consumes just 20µA in sleep mode
Offering 14-bit resolution in 28-pin plastic TSSOPs, Datel has announced the DAC-1412 series DACs. It is offered in two enhanced COTS grades, DAC-1412SE (-40 to +105°C) and DAC-1412SM (-55 to +125°C).
