STMicroelectronics is showcasing its latest technologies and products for Smart Driving, Smart Cities and Homes, and Smart Things at electronica India in the Bangalore International Exhibition Center, Hall E2, Booth 2072, September 21-23, 2016.
High performance rate converters improve design reliability
The latest miClockSynth family of high performance frequency synthesisers and rate converters has been announced by Microsemi Corporation. The ZL30260-ZL30267 devices, targeted at the enterprise, data centre, communications and video markets, simplify board design by generating up to four independent frequency families of low jitter clock signals from a crystal source or clock input.
Software calculates array voltage for PV connected electronics
Photovoltaic Power Profile Emulation (PPPE) software automatically calculates solar array voltage and current profiles based on user-defined parameters. The profiles can be sequentially sent to a Magna-Power Electronics power supply, which will emulate defined characteristics. The user can define a limitless number of profiles to be emulated and sequenced over a given time period.
SiC high voltage switch developed
Researchers at North Carolina State University have created a high voltage and high frequency silicon carbide (SiC) power switch that could cost much less than similarly rated SiC power switches. The findings could lead to early applications in the power industry, especially in power converters like medium voltage drives, solid state transformers and high voltage transmissions and circuit breakers.
60V MOSFET optimises performance
The offering of compact, high-efficiency, high-speed switching MOSFETs from Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded further. The U-MOS IX-H family has a SMD device offering a maximum VDSS rating of 60V and a maximum drain current of 100A.The TPH1R306PL is supplied in a SOP Advance surface mount package and has an ultra-low typical on resistance (RDS(ON) of just 1.0mΩ (VGS = 10V).
