Powerful all-electric pipe bending machine swings into action
Unison has installed and commissioned the world’s largest and most powerful all-electric pipe bending machine, at the Norwegian offshore and maritime services company, Westcon Yard AS. Capable of generating a colossal 660,000 Nm of continuous, servo-controlled torque, the custom-designed machine will be used for precision bending of thick-walled carbon steel pipes up to 10 inches (273 mm) in diameter.
PXI solid state multiplexer speeds up test process
A 5A PXI Solid State Multiplexer has been launched by Pickering Interfaces at IEEE Autotestcon in Maryland (November 2-5). This multiplexer (model 40-652) was originally designed for a large defence contractor looking for a multiplexer that could handle large inrush currents. The 40-652 MUX series offers a range of configurations suitable for hot or cold switching signals up to ±100V at 5A.
Reed Relay range available for up to 10kV stand-off
Pickering Electronics have expanded their Reed Relay range to include three new series that all offer higher packing densities. The series 67 and 68 dry Reed Relay range for up to 10kV, and the series 119 Micro-SIL range for up to 3kV.
productronica will see the launch of new switching solutions
Pickering Interfaces will be showcasing their latest PXI, PCI & LXI switching and simulation solutions at productronica, Munich, Germany 10th to 13th Novermber. These new products include the PXI 5Amp Solid-State Multiplexer. This range of PXI multiplexers uses solid-state relays with high tolerance to surge currents and hot switching events. Each multiplexer provides an isolation relay in the common to minimise capacitive loading when expand...
Switches target differential serial interfaces
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI fault insertion switching with the introduction of two new modules designed for use with differential serial interfaces.
High voltage relays available for up to 10kV
Pickering Electronics have expanded their reed relay range to include the series 67 and 68, suitable for high voltage applications. The relays are available for up to 10kV stand-off and switching up to 7.5kV, with an option of either PCB or flying lead switch connections. The relays are suitable for high voltage transformer and cable test and some electro-medical applications such as defibrillators.
PXI/PCI programmable resistors suit high-density simulation
Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI and PCI Programmable Resistors used for high-density resistor simulation.Pickering’s existing PXI High-Density Precision Programmable Resistor Module (model 40-297) and PCI High-Density Precision Programmable Resistor Card (model 50-297) have been expanded to increase the configurations offered from 42 to 50 models per platform.
The industry’s smallest high voltage SIL Form B reed relays
Pickering Electronics has announced the addition of the industry’s smallest high voltage SILForm B (energise to break) reed relays to its Series 119 high voltage micro-SIL relay range. The relay is intended for voltages considerably higher than standard SIL relays, suitable for cable and backplane testers, mixed signal ATE or other applications where high voltage capability is required.
High-density PXI solid state multiplexer can sustain 1.5A for 100ms
Pickering Interfaces has introduced a Versatile High-Density PXI Solid State Multiplexer. This PXI Solid State Multiplexer (model 40-681) features a wide range of selectable switching configurations and the versatility of its architecture allows all multiplexer banks to be inter-linked and common connections used as extra signal inputs programmatically.
RF/Microwave switching solutions on parade in Paris
Pickering Interfaces is showcasing its broad catalogue of Ethernet LXI and PXI RF & Microwave switching solutions to European Microwave Week in Paris (Sept 7-11). These RF & Microwave Switching solutions range from low-level DC signals to RF and Microwave. The switching solutions can be used to increase the flexibility of test and measurement systems with signal bandwidths up to 65GHz.
