Low-Power 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB-NL Solution chosen for Wireless Mouse and Keyboard Set
Cypress has today revealed that Lite-On has selected Cypress’s 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB-NL radio-on-a-chip for its next-generation wireless keyboard and mouse set. WirelessUSB-NL’s low power consumption enables two AA batteries to power the mouse and keyboard for up to three years. The long range of WirelessUSB-NL also enables the wireless mouse and keyboard set to operate at a distance of up to 30 meters.
Primary-Side Switcher for AC/DC Power Control from iWatt
iWatt has today introduced its latest AccuSwitch primary-side driver with an internal power switch rated to 800V for universal AC input. The new iW1816 digital pulse width modulation driver is designed to support high capacitance loads (up to 6,000µF) at up to 5W. The device also includes an adaptively controlled soft start, which enables fast start-up for a wide range of output voltages from 5V to 12V and higher, while driving a large capacitiv...

Microwave Marketing & Linwave Technology Officially Open New Marlin Building HQ
Last Thursday saw the formal opening of the Marlin Building by Karl McCartney, Member of Parliament for Lincoln. Microwave Marketing and Linwave Technology have jointly moved into the premises from 3 sites in the local Doddington Rd area. Mr McCartney took time to meet staff and customers during Tour of the facility and product presentations.
Molex Subsidiary, Temp-Flex, Announces New Microwave Coaxial Cables That Deliver Low Loss And Superior Bandwidth
Temp-Flex, a subsidiary of Molex, announced today the availability of microwave coaxial cables designed for high-bandwidth applications using proprietary processes. Temp-Flex low loss and ultra-low loss cables deliver faster speed and electrical performance in military and aerospace, defense, automatic test equipment and medical applications.
Improved Dielectic Properties Of AGY'S L-Glass Fibres Attracting Attention Of Randome Manufacturers
L-Glass fibres are a low-loss glass fibre yarn from AGY that was originally developed for electronics applications. It is now being evaluated for use in the manufacture of radomes, which have some of the same material property requirements. L-Glass fibres were developed to address the demands for higher speed/frequency signals in the Cloud computing and telecom infrastructure.
Plextek expands measurement capabilities to address demand for V-band and E-band design services
In response to the growing requirement for high data rate wireless applications, Plextek has extended its test and measurement facilities to 75GHz capability. This growing demand includes increasing development activity at V-band (50 to 75GHz) and E-band (60 to 90GHz).
Smallest Thin Film Tight Tolerance RF Capacitor introduced by AVX
AVX Corporation has developed the smallest RF thin film tight tolerance capacitor on the market. The most recent addition to its highly accurate and well-established Accu-P RF capacitor series, AVX’s new capacitor is a subminiature 01005 size chip that features the low capacitance values (0.05pF to 2.4pF) and ultra-tight capacitance tolerances (±0.01pF) that the series is known for, in addition to low ESR and high Q at VHF, UHF, and microwave ...
36V precision JFET-input operational amplifier from ADI
Analog Devices has introduced a compact, 36-volt precision JFET-input (junction field-effect transistor input) operational amplifier (op amp) with the industry’s lowest noise and distortion over the widest temperature range. The 19-MHz ADA4627 JFET-input op amp specifies 5 pA (picoamp) maximum bias current at 25 degrees C and 500 pA maximum over the industrial temperature range of –40 degrees C to 85 degrees C, which is ten times lowe...
