Industrial cameras improve track monitoring efficiency for London Underground
STEMMER IMAGING has worked closely with London Underground to develop and deliver 104 industrial camera assemblies that are mounted directly onto passenger trains to provide image data on the condition of the wheel/rail interface and the track itself. By acquiring this data during normal timetable periods, more time is available during the 4-hour night closure period to maintain the network’s 1000 km of track, minimising any disruption to s...
New near infrared/colour multispectral line scan cameras
Two new series of line scan cameras added to the STEMMER IMAGING camera range provide enhanced multispectral imaging capabilities for industrial imaging applications. The Sweep+ from JAI and the Quadlinear Piranha4 from Teledyne DALSA both allow simultaneous capture of colour and near infrared (NIR) images. A rich choice of imaging technologies, resolution and sensor types means that the most appropriate camera can be chosen for the application.
Protocol exerciser/analyser tests PCI Express 4.0 designs
A PCI Express (PCIe) protocol exerciser/analyser for testing PCI Express 4.0 designs and products has been introduced by Teledyne LeCroy. The Summit Z416 exerciser/analyser addresses the needs of PCI Express developers by providing high performance 16GT/s traffic generation on devices with link widths up to 16 lanes. In addition to traffic generation, protocol analysis featuring Teledyne LeCroy’s industry-standard CATC Trace and other traff...
Receiver/oscilloscope combo tests optical signals at 130Gbaud
The IQS series of Coherent Optical Receivers extends Teledyne LeCroy’s Optical Modulation Analysis (OMA) portfolio, enabling the creation of flexible, modular systems. When combined with Teledyne LeCroy’s LabMaster 10Zi-A oscilloscopes and integrated Optical-LinQ analysis software, the IQS receivers test DP-QPSK and DP-16QAM optical signals at speeds up to 130GBaud.

Solving challenging imaging problems
STEMMER IMAGING’s novel Trevista Surface 50 inspection system is supplied complete with structured diffuse illumination, lens, software, PC and a 5MP Genie TS camera from Teledyne DALSA. Using a patented 'shape from shading' technology, information on the 3D shape of an object can be deduced from the shading of its surfaces. This allows defects of just a few micrometre diameter and depth to be detected on a variety of material surfaces.
Surface inspection system identifies contamination & defects
STEMMER IMAGING’s Trevista surface inspection system can be used to identify foreign matter or surface imperfections on medical devices such as stents, catheters and hypotubes. Early detection of these flaws during the manufacturing process can save both time and money.
