Thermal imaging tutorial videos produced in 20 languages
To enable users to get started, and then gain the full potential of their powerful ResearchIR 4.2 thermal imaging software, FLIR Systems has created several informative online tutorial videos. Available in 20 languages, FLIR ResearchIR 4.2 software provides a comprehensive set of acquisition, diagnostic and data sharing tools as well as customisable, saveable workspaces that allow you to arrange how images, data, charts and plots are displayed.
Pan-European pact encompasses thermal camera cores
Acal BFi has signed a Pan European supply agreement with FLIR to offer the latest thermal camera cores and will launch the FLIR Boson thermal core. “We are thrilled to bring FLIR into our product portfolio and we are already seeing very positive sales activity across Europe for the world-leading FLIR thermal cores inlcuding Tau 2, Quark 2, PathFindIR II and Vue.” says Alex Schneider, Business Development Director of Acal BFi’s...
Gas imaging camera targets Biogas facilities
A new application note from FLIR Systems describes how its GF320 optical gas imaging camera is being used by IBS (Bremen, Germany) for inspecting Biogas facilities and finding hidden gas leaks before they can cause significant harm. Expanding the use of renewable energy sources has become a major issue for European countries looking to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and lessen the effects of climate change.
Thermal imaging cameras perform advanced inspections
Thermal imaging cameras with Lock-In, Transient, and Pulse capabilities have been unveiled by FLIR Systems. The cameras perform advanced inspections such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or stress mapping that resolve temperature differences as low as 1mK. NDT is a standard method used to evaluate the properties of a material, component or, system without causing damage.
Clamp meter spots hard to find faults
The new FLIR CM174 clamp meter, available at RS Components, has built-in thermal imaging to help pinpoint faults such as intermittent connections, which can have thermal effects that conventional test gear cannot see. The clamp meter features a two-inch colour TFT in the handset that shows hotspots detected using FLIR's IGM(TM) (Infrared Guided Measurement) thermal-imaging technology.
IR camera contributes to velocimetry technique
An academic journal paper, written by researchers Dr. Alexandros Charogiannis, Dr. Ivan Zadrazil and Dr. Christos Markides at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London (London, UK), that describes a novel, combined IR thermographic and velocimetry technique for the investigation of multiphase flows.
CCTV cameras save on installation costs
The CCTV security portfolio at RS Components has been extended with three new product ranges from FLIR Systems. The new products include HD video cameras, thermal imaging cameras and network video recorders designed to save installation and upgrade costs by operating over a building’s existing network or cabling infrastructure.
Thermal imaging clamp meter speeds up troubleshooting
The CM174 thermal imaging clamp meter from FLIR Systems features IGM (Infrared Guided Measurement) giving electrician an effective tool for quick and efficient troubleshooting. For a long time, electricians investigated complex compounded problems by chasing down the cause – one electrical measurement at a time. A lot of the time the true source of the problem was never found, leading to call-backs from customers asking the electrician to f...
Gas imaging camera picks up Carbon Dioxide leaks
A high performance gas imaging camera from FLIR Systems has been designed to visually detect Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in real time. Incorporating a cooled Indium Antimonide (InSb) detector the FLIR GF343is able to providesensitive detection of even tiny CO2 gas leaks. Carbon Dioxidegas leaksare displayed as plumes of vapour inthe camera'sinfrared image.
High Speed Stop Motion Infrared Imaging
FLIR Systems has introduced the new FLIR X6900sc as the world's fastest 640 x 512 pixel resolution thermal camera for high-speed science applications.
