The Agilent PCIe® 3.0 receiver characterization test solution provides complete and accurate receiver tolerance test results while minimizing R&D effort. Using the Agilent test set, design and test engineers in the semiconductor and computer industry can accurately characterize and verify standard compliance of receiver ports in ASICs and chipset...
Freescale and IPextreme expand licensing of ColdFire cores
Freescale Semiconductor is expanding its ColdFire licensing program by offering its 32-bit V4 ColdFire core to the embedded community through IPextreme, a semiconductor technology licensing specialist. Working in collaboration with Freescale, IPextreme will now market, sell and support Freescale’s V1, V2 and V4 ColdFire cores to system-on-chip (SoC) designers seeking to integrate the cores and other functions onto single-chip ICs.
Freescale DSP family delivers new levels of performance for the next wave of wireless base station deployments
Two years and multiple field deployments after introducing the industry’s highest-performing programmable baseband DSP, Freescale Semiconductor announces two next-generation products that deliver more than twice the throughput of their industry-leading predecessor.
LDRA Tool Suite Directly Integrates with Altera’s Nios II Embedded Design Suite
LDRA has extended the LDRA tool suite to support direct integration with Altera’s Embedded Design Suite (EDS) for Nios II soft core processors. In the past, these processors lacked sufficient CPU and memory to be used in automotive, medical, industrial and avionics environments.
MAX14548E/AE: 16-channel, bidirectional, 100Mbps level translators save processor overhead and enable high-speed interfacing
Maxim introduced the MAX14548E/MAX14548AE, ±15kV ESD-protected, 16-channel, bidirectional level translators. These devices provide level shifting for data transfer in multivoltage systems by accepting a voltage range from 1.1V to 3.6V on the VL side and from 1.7V to 3.6V on the ±15kV ESD-protected Vcc side. Over these specified operating voltages, the MAX14548E/ MAX14548AE operate at a guaranteed data rate of 100Mbps. The low supply voltage, sm...
Understand your power system
System-level design considerations influence the choice of the power architecture. Power-system designs for simpler FPGA applications use single and multirail regulators that take a 5V/12V input and supply power to all FPGA rails, with built-in sequencing and minimal external components.
