Mobius Photonics Announces Prototype Fiber-Based Laser Source for Super-Resolution Microscopy Applications
Mobius Photonics, an innovative producer of short pulsed fiber laser sources (IR, green, and UV laser), has developed a novel prototype laser source for super-resolution microscopy applications. Named Rainbow, the system is a fiber-based source of user-switchable, visible-wavelength laser pulses.
Built-In Photodiode Trigger for High Accuracy Laser Beam Profiling Cameras
Ophir-Spiricon has announced a built-in photodiode trigger for beam profiling cameras at LASER World of Photonics. The trigger is part of the company's USB 2.0 Silicon CCD Cameras designed specifically for laser beam measurement applications, the SP503U and SP620U. These cameras accurately capture and analyze wavelengths from 190nm - 1550nm, both continuous wave (CW) and pulsed mode.

productronica 2009, the world’s leading trade fair for all aspects of electronics production, will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from Tuesday November 10 to Friday 13, 2009. productronica has been the production industry’s global meeting place since 1975 and this year’s event will bring together more than 1000 exhibitors from over 30 countries. Altogether, well over 60,000m² of exhibition space has already been reserved by ...
electronica 2010 will present the entire spectrum of automotive electronics this November
Energy efficiency and environmental compatibility are two of the most important challenges facing the automobile industry. Automobile electronics can provide numerous solutions for future automobiles and is also therefore one of the fastest growing markets in the automotive sector. Around 20% of exhibitors at electronica 2010, the world’s leading trade fair for components, systems and applications for the electrical engineering and electronic...
LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 to present the latest applications in semiconductor production, thin-film technology and sensor technology
As a key technology, microelectronics is the foundation for the success of the most important branches of German industry. 50 per cent of all industrial products manufactured in Germany now contain at least one electronic component. 8 out of 10 innovations in automobile construction already stem from the electrical engineering, electronics and IT industries. Optical technologies contribute a great deal to this dynamism: laser-based processes crea...
LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 will present ultra-short pulsed lasers for micromaterial processing
New laser systems are making processes less energy-intensive and more accurate. In many cases innovative lasers enable certain production steps to be carried out, especially when micromaterial processing is involved – i.e. drilling, milling and cutting in the microscopically small range. The lasers used in this processes do not emit light continuously, they are “pulse” operated, i.e. they emit their light in time-limited, very short “puls...
Latest Applications will be key at LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011
Industry marketplace, think tank, knowledge forum, solution provider, source of momentum, networking – LASER World of PHOTONICS satisfies all these entirely different claims. Applications are the common denominator and are dealt with throughout the trade fair and the Congress. Optical technologies will become the focus of attention at the world’s leading trade fair and the World of Photonics Congress, which will be held one month earlier than...
Tough Laser Module Won't Let You Down
“When the going gets rough,” David McGuinness, Photonic Products’ Technical Sales Manager affirmed, “our customers can trust Photonic Products’ tough new industrial laser modules to keep right on going. We won’t let them down.”
Three-channel constant-current LED driver with PWM brightness control for large display applications
The new A6281 from Allegro MicroSystems Europe is a three-channel constant-current LED driver IC with an on-chip oscillator for simple programmable brightness control.
