Making it easier to find memory chips in a company's product lineup
Alliance Memory is making it easier for its customers to find any DRAM memory chip in its extensive offering - including scarce allocated devices and uncommon packages and densities - with a new website that shows part inventories at worldwide distributors such as Avnet, Digi-Key, Future, and Mouser.
Sensors support wide-distance object detection at low power
Two ultrasonic signal processors and drivers, the PGA460 and PGA460-Q1, from Texas Instruments (TI) are now being shipped by distributor Mouser Electronics. Available in both automotive (PGA460-Q1) and non-automotive (PGA460) options, these devices are ultrasonic sensors that support wide-distance object detection at low power, making them well suited to address a broad range of ultrasonic position sensing and robotics applications.
Lumens-per-watt raised in second generation LEDs
The XLamp XHP70.2 LEDs from Cree are in stock at Mouser Electronics. These second-generation Extreme High Power (XHP) LEDs deliver up to 9 per cent more lumens and 18 per cent higher lumens-per-watt (LPW) than the first-generation XHP70 LEDs. The LEDs feature the same 7.0mm × 7.0mm footprint as the previous generation and provide an easy drop-in upgrade for customers with existing XHP70 designs.
Sub-1GHz transceiver targets IoT applications
The S2-LP ultra-low power, sub-1GHz transceiver from STMicroelectronics (ST) is now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. A successor to ST’s SPIRIT1, the S2-LP radio chip offers designers increased transmission range, greater selectivity, ultra-low power consumption, and high configuration flexibility for Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
Applications processors meet industrial display needs
The AM571x Sitara applications processors from Texas Instruments (TI) are available at Mouser Electronics. These ARM Cortex-based devices achieve high levels of processing and are designed to meet the intense processing needs of modern embedded applications, including industrial communications, human-machine interface (HMI), and automation and control.
Wire-to-wire connector system cuts component count
ValuSeal is a wire-to-wire connector system from Molex that is now available at Mouser Electronics. The connectors are designed to provide cost-effective, reliable, and sealed performance, all within a one-piece housing design. The IP65-rated wire-and-ring seal system is capable of 11A of power and is ideal for consumer, industrial, non-automotive transportation, robotics, and lighting applications.
TinyDuino joins Mouser global linecard
Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with TinyCircuits, a maker of very small open source electronics. Through the agreement, Mouser is stocking the TinyDuino platform with TinySheld expansion boards. TinyDuino is a miniature open source electronics platform based on the Arduino platform.
Industrial MCUs boast greater control performance
The XMC1400 industrial series microcontrollers from Infineon Technologies are in stock at Mouser Electronics. Members of Infineon’s XMC1000 family of microcontrollers, the XMC1400 series devices offer greater control performance and additional connectivity tailored to applications such as LED lighting, digital power conversion, motor control, industrial automation, and human-machine interfaces (HMI).
X86 boards boast fast execution time
X86 single-board computers from UDOO are now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. The open source X86 combines the power of a PC with prototyping capabilities of the Arduino 101 and boasts 10 times faster execution time than the Raspberry Pi 3. With the X86, engineers can run a broad range of software, from gaming and video streaming to graphical editors and professional development platforms.
Arduino board opens route to GPS-based IoT projects
The Wireless Input Output (Wio) Tracker from Seeed Studio is an open source gateway that allows for faster GPS solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) by tracking nearly any moving thing and uploading that data wirelessly. It is an Arduino-compatible development board that integrates Bluetooth 3.0 and GPRS into a single board for quickly and easily developing location-tracking solutions.
