Automotive surface mount varistors operate up to +150°C
Stackpole has announced its AVY series of automotive surface mount varistors that operate at temperatures up to +150°C. This higher operating temperature allows their use in a wider range of environments compared to most varistors that can only operate at temperatures up to +125°C. The AVY series is rated for up to 2,000A of current and 25J load dump energy.
CSRF current sense chip resistors qualified to AEC-Q200
It has been recently announced by Stackpole Electronics, that the 0805 and 2512 package sizes of its CSRF series current sense chip resistors are now qualified to AEC-Q200. The CSRF utilises a foil on ceramic carrier technology that is impervious to sulphur and offers low resistance values, good TCR, and the ability to achieve small sizes.
Current sense resistors available in tolerances down to 1%
The CSR series of thick film current sense resistors from Stackpole Electronics is available in a wide range of sizes and resistance values. The CSR / CSRN is available in resistance values from 3mΩ to 1Ω, depending on size, and in tolerances down to 1%. Sizes range from 0402 (0.125W) to 2512 (2W), along with a 1225 with long-sided terminations that is rated at 3W.
SM series for high energy surface mount resistor applications
The SM Series wirewound resistor offers a robust surface mount device capable of handling up to 4W in a single part. The SM8035 case size can handle over 50J of energy while the SM2615 size can withstand more than 5 times the energy of a comparable size pulse withstanding flat chip resistor. A single SM is an ideal solution for applications that demand high continuous power with low heat rise.
Resistor handles 50 or 100W in TO-220 or TO-247 packages
Stackpole Electronics has announced that its TR series now offers power ratings of 20 to 50W for the TO-220 packages and 100W for the TO-247 package. These non-inductive and RoHS-compliant packages are suited for use with power IC’s on heat sinks to help maintain the 25°C film temperature. The TR series is available with tolerances as tight as 0.5% and TCR as low as 50ppm.
Foil on ceramic resistor offers a 3mΩ resistance value
The CSRF0402 foil on ceramic resistor from Stackpole offers industry-leading low resistance values with good TCR. Stackpole now offers a 3mΩ resistance value in tolerances as tight as ±1% and TCR of 200ppm. The CSRF0402 is also available in 5, 10 and 15mΩ resistance values, making it suitable for a wide variety of consumer and industrial portable electronics that require high efficiency current sensing and small size.
Stackpole expands stock on tight tolerance high voltage resistors
The HVC series from Stackpole is a thick film surface mount chip resistor series designed for high voltage handling and high resistance value. In response to growing market demand for resistors with both high voltage handling and high precision, Stackpole has expanded the number of resistance values available from stock.
4W wirewound resistors provide good surge handling
Designed for applications requiring good surge handling and fusibility to prevent significant heat generation or fire, the SP3A series has been announced by Stackpole Electronics. The axial leaded 4W wirewound resistors can survive hundreds of 3kV surges of less than 50µs without failing or significantly shifting resistance. They will also fuse quickly and without flame or significant heat when subjected to continuous overloads of 120VAC or...
ASR series offers working voltages up to 4KV
Stackpole Electronics's ASR Series of anti-surge metal film resistors are rated for high voltage applications. Working voltage for the ASR Series ranges from 1150 to 4000V with overload voltage from 1500 to 5000V. In addition, the ASR can handle high voltage capacitor discharges from 3KV for the smaller sizes up to 10KV for the larger.
Current sense chip device offers 5-40mΩ resistance values
Providing resistance values of 5-40mΩ, 1% tolerances and TCR as low as 75ppm, Stackpole has announced the 1.5W rated CSRF0612series current sense chip resistors. The 0612 size designation denotes that the termination is on the long sides of the part as opposed to the short ends, as with the 1W rated 1206. This longer termination provides higher current handling and lower thermal resistance.
