SAR ADCs feature 4 MSPS throughput rates
The AD7380 and AD7381 successive-approximation register (SAR) analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) from Analog Devices are now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. The pin-compatible 16-bit AD7380 and 14-bit AD7381 ADCs feature throughput rates of 4 megasamples per second (MSPS) and a tiny 3 × 3mm LFCSP package.
Small and tough mini media converter for security and transport
AMG Systems has launched a Mini media converter specially designed to be robust enough to withstand the challenging extremes of temperature which can face security and transport camera and device installations. The ruggedised 9HMEC Mini media converters are small enough to be installed in the confined spaces provided by camera poles and street cabinets, and tough enough to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 70°C.
Interference-free transmission with the Ethernet media converter
The new media converter, FL MC EF 660 SCRJ, from Phoenix Contact aims to enable the connection of cost-effective polymer and HCS/PCF fibre technology. The optical transmission of data via fibre optics is free of electromagnetic interference and provides complete electrical isolation on the transmission path. This is therefore particularly suitable for Ethernet applications.
Power management and monitoring solutions
Microchip's power management solutions include DC-DC controllers and regulators, MOSFETs and MOSFET drivers, voltage supervisors and references and power modules that enable you to increase power density, extend battery life and provide high performance in the most demanding applications.
DC-DC converters handle wide voltage variations
Modern railways rely on a host of electronic systems in order to operate safely and provide passenger comfort and convenience. A typical railway carriage distributes either 72V or 110V DC of battery power to these various systems many of which require lower and regulated operating voltages.
Converters simplify development of safety-critical medical devices
A new range of 20 Watt DC/DC power modules with international agency approvals for medical/healthcare applications have been introduced by XP Power. The series is suitable for all medical applications and particularly intended for use where the DC/DC converter provides a reinforced (two MOPP) safety isolation barrier, including patient contact and patient vicinity applications.
Split-phase frequency converters deliver continuous output
It has been announced that ABSOPULSE Electronics has recently released the FCP 1K-F7W Series of compact, AC/AC frequency converters designed for rugged industrial applications that require universal AC-input voltage and split-phase AC-output with pure sine-wave output voltage.
Range of power devices expanded to offer complete solutions
At PCIM in Nuremberg, Germany (7th-9th May, 2019), ROHM Semiconductor will showcase power semiconductor solutions focused on E-mobility and power supply applications. Energy savings and reduced system costs in all kinds of systems are heavily influenced by choosing the right power device.
Higher efficiency for EV DC charging and other industrial applications
It has been announced that Infineon Technologies is extending the CoolSiC Schottky 1,200V G5 diode portfolio with the release of a TO247-2 package. It can easily replace silicon diodes for higher efficiency. The expanded 8.7mm creepage and clearance distances offer extra safety in high-pollution environments.
High efficiency 15W DC/DC converters
The release of the THL 15WI family of 15W DC/DC converters that are designed for industrial, mobile, instrumentation, and communication markets or any application where size, cost and quality are critical factors, has been announced by TRACO POWER. The THL 15WI series 15W DC/DC converters come in an encapsulated 1x1x0.4" metal case with an integrated EN 55032 class A filter.
